Next 9th of March, we test the car in Circuit again.

The program is check the ASR function, fine tuning the different maps (Race, street and wet) also check the ABS function when the two functions are working together.
Check the robustness of the new Engine Map.
Check the robustness and confort of the ASR intervention.

After the test, we explain the results and the impresions of Mr Franciso. We hope to achieve total satisfaction of Mr. Francisco......

I´m not sure, if this time is the first time that one F40 in the world is equipped with ECU MOTEC for manage the engine. After read the last posts, we understand that some people think that we installed a Data aquisition Motec in our F40, but this is not correct, We install a MOTEC ECU for manage the engine, this ECU provide us different options and solutions.

ASR Function, is one of the options that we use of MOTEC. ASR Function (Anti Slip Regulation), is a very interesting function of traction control that we want to for our car.

Data Aquisition: is other function available in this ECU, for the moment, we use the data aquisition only for check the correct setup of ASR Function. is clear that if we are interested in use the data aquisition, we have a different posibilities like channels 0 to 5 v, temp. channels, etc.

Our project is focused in to improve our F40. The main points are: Safety, dynamics. Mr Francisco, is a great fan of his car, and likes to drive frequently in Public roads and sometimes in circuits.

These are the reasons for install a ABS function and ASR Function in his car.

I am afraid not! We fitted my LM with Motec and we took the software from another LM, still racing, which has also been running Motec for a while. Great project.

fantastic, we can change our experiences and suggestions, please how many Hp do you have in your LM?
in my opinion de great work from mr amenos is not to increase the hp in my car, is to arrived to install without important modifications a complete ABS and ASR system, I,m sure many peoples love his f40 originals, and I love also, but I want to use my f40 every day......., and in this conditions to have this security systems can be more sure and funny, and the absoluty advantage is I can also to put off my electronics helps and use the f40 absolute original, with his important feelings but also with his complicate reactions........this is my advantage

Francisco, I have 702 whp (~825hp) at 21psi (1.5 bar) on stock compression (7.7:1) on 93 US octane (~97 RON in Europe) using an M800 ECU. I think Tim's car makes similar hp using an M800 too. The key to big hp on these engines is large primary equal length headers and tuning.

Great project! Keep the updates coming.

    Gents!!!
Yesterday I was driving for first time our F40 after install the Motec ECU. The car is fantastic, the engine is very powerfull and the engine curve is in line our requeriments.

Now, this engine setup is very good because the balance between power , engine torque, and vehicle weight it´s ok, and with the new engine configuration, the gear change are more fast.

Yesterday, I tryed only one time to activate the ASR function using a basic map, only for to know how much I can help this system, the feeling is very good, but we need to try a lot during the test and tune the ASR map.

We finish today a fantastic evolution of my f40, and D-Solo company deliver me the car.
I own this car from 2009 mor o less, and in the past when I drive it fast I was afraid with the risk to loose the control.
today I do more or less 25 tours in montmelo circuit, with absolute control of my car in the brake, absolute control in this point and in the acceleration also, today in the dry road I put thé assistance in the midle position and the efficacité of the car was total.
I have a new car totaly under the control

Yesterday we test the our F40 for check the ASR performance and fine tuning the setting scale for the perfect performance depending of the driving conditions (Normal, Sport, Race and in dry or wet conditions).
During this test we can feel all the potential of the new engine map (+12% hp & +13% engine torque).

Now we have a very good and funny car, we notice the fantastic results obtained in terms of safety increase, This car has never been able to drive safely during acceleration and braking. Now is possible to enjoy of our F40 all the time, in public roads, circuits, etc., you choose the driving demand level, only adjusting the selectors for ABS & ASR functions, very fast and very easy, is possible to set the ABS & ASR control values before or during driving... you decide.

Mr Francisco Vilas is very very happy with the results and i think is the first time Mr. Vilas really enjoys driving his F40.

Don´t stop more your car in the garage !!!, don´t worry for the safety, today we achieve to cross this critical line..... believe me, now can you really enjoys of your car !!!

Puf I give you my opinion, the black are fast, very fast, with a serius brake, s problem, the original CCM brakes are perfect for normal drive not for a circuits, we like to change the pads and liquid to see how work.
The f40...... montmelo was a very bad circuit for the original car, in the past to loose the control was very simple and complicate to go fast, yesterday with the assistances (ABS,ASR), in position 6/7/8, we have 10 possibles, we had and absolute control of my car and I can go probably more fast ad my black, but the raison, to stop the black upper 240/250 km was complicate, with the same end speed with my new f40 was possible to stop without anny risk to loose the rear of the car.
