Anyone has information about the colour of Girón Jaguar XK120 #25 in the IV Panamericana? The best known photos seemed to point out to metallic silver, but in the joined one and this link one you can see it was clearly not: RSC Photo Gallery - Carrera Panamericana 1953 - Ferrari 375 MM no.45 - Racing Sports Cars

Looking at the XK colour catalog: XK Data - Catalog - Colors - Jaguar XK120, XK140, XK150 information, articles, photos and register pastel green, pearl grey or birch grey would seem the most likely for the time, but these are guesses only.

Here is a good color photo. It looks dark grey, maybe Birch Grey or Sherwood Green.

Hi, as you know the Ferrari at the '53Carrera had many tyres problems.
At the start they surely have Pirelli shoes but after I fond this nice model pic I tink they may had used Firestone to avoid further blows...
    Anyone has some info please?
    Sorry for my english!
    All the best,
    Alessandro

ps sorry I don't remember the name of the modeler!

Pictures of the full detail FPPM by Fernando Pinto Ferrari 375 Pan Am 1954 Phil Hill second place car in 1/24th scale. You can also do the 1953 Pan Am Chinetti version in 1/24th scale with a ARTECNO decal special order if he still can.

Here is the ebay seller/owner that makes the Pan Am decals and kits. He does make them in 1/43rd, 1/24th and 1/32nd. Kits only in 1/32nd.

Hi, anyone has a pic of the back of the Ferrari #23 Maglioli-Ricci chassis 0322 AM at '53 Carrera?
May this car is the only of the "Ricci team" to have the "Castelvecchio Pascoli Italia"
    over the little back window?
    Thanks to all
    Alesandro

Tom, you should have decals corrected, the lower white part of the side roundels would follow the upper part shape, it was just the black rim that was covered by blue paint.

This not my model but they look fine to me. You will have to work around the scoop and paint anyway. You should get this model. It is really well done. He even put the drilled holes on the hood and boot covers.

I almost finished my Canada Shoes 550 1954. I did change the decals and make the stripe down the middle black. This photo confirms my choice of colors as the flag is green and stripe much darker, not the light green on the decal. Great job on the artwork although the Canada logo should not cover the roundel on the sides of the car. Very fragile decals, but it all came out great. Will have pictures of my model soon.
