Thanks Larry....185 is my bottom but I would trade for a 2010-11 599 HGTE and cash or a 16M too.

If anyone is interested in this SCUD at 185K please let me know ASAP as Iam about to trade it in.
I can hold it until the end of March with a 2K (Non-Refundable) deposit.
You will NOT find a better and rarer Scud in this condition for this price. The person at the dealership plans to keep it as his own and if he decides to sell it will certainly be listed above 185K...Dont miss this 1 of 1 [email protected]

Seller got his $185k for this car. That much I know.

The more I look at this car, the more I wish I'd have taken him up on his offer to trade plus cash for mine.

Truly a rare and awesome spec i.m.o.

    Brilliant question Dannyboy, just brilliant!!!!!

Kevin spent 6 months trying to sell this car and by his own admission had no buyers @ $185K. Now a dealer buys it for resale and lists it $30K higher. Hmmm, what a "great" price and "great" strategy. Maybe I should buy it from the dealer then list it for $245K. That would be even greaterer!!!

185 was more than fair, dealer spends an hour taking some flashy photos, bold font and 30K premium, wish i was in a position to purchase at the time

Guys this is not unusual. It's always perceived to be more risky to buy from a private owner than a dealer, although not necessarily true. I can tell you this: that Scud that Kevin had was absolutely fantastic, and worth 195K, maybe more. The market dictates what these cars are worth and that can be fairly volatile. Kevin took care of that car better than most people take care of a baby. I know this and tried to buy it from him last year for 195. He decided to keep the car at the time instead of sell it to me. I went with a 458 Italia, which I absolutely love, and am currently moving to a Speciale. I would not go back to a Scud at this point, but that car is immaculate, and the coolest looking Scud I have ever seen.

I'm glad that Kevin at least got 185 for it. In retrospect he did me a favor by declining my offer. I'm in love with the 458 and now Speciale.

Brilliant about what , dealer is selling the scud. for more because that is what it worth, who else would know better then the dealer ,

The dealer is selling it for more because they are in business to make a profit. That car, nor any other Scud is worth $215k. Period (although there could be very few and rare examples out there somewhere).

I guarantee anyone interested can buy this Scud from that dealer today for $195k easily (probably even less).

$185 was a great deal when Kevin was offering it.

I understand but you can,t sell a car if it not worth the price , sure they can sell it easily for 195k but if the market of the scud. is at 215k price range or more why wouldn't the dealer sell it at the market price ,

For someone it could will be worth that price if they are very specific and inflexible about wanting that exact color spec interior and exterior.

Those buyers, however, are rare so if the dealer wants to achieve that price or near it he may have to sit on it a while. Perhaps they are happy to do this given the low cost of capital and the current trend in prices for the Scud/CS/16M and any Ferrari older than those basically...

EXACTLY!! "You can't sell a car if it's not worth the price". They are obviously shooting for the stars ASKING $215 (that doesn't mean that's what it's worth or where the market is on these cars)! They all start high knowing anything below their asking makes customers feel like they've achieved something.

This car was offered at $185 for a while without selling.

For you to repeatedly come on these threads saying these cars are worth $210, 215, 220.... is absolutely ridiculous.
