That ought to be fast enough to put Manor outside the 107% limit. But there is no way that Bernie is going to start the season down 6 cars from last year. So, if Manor are running on Sunday they are in. Now he just has to figure out how to get Sauber on the grid. Perhaps he has vdG fail some sort of FIA physical, thus rendering him unfit to compete, making the court order moot.

 

Seriously... will McLaren be the next Marusa?

 

I'm thinking this will be their low much like Williams in 2013 before they can climb up.

This year they desperately need another sponsor + Honda needs to use this year to get as much data as possible for next year...

 

IMO the pressure is off Hamilton, the battle of mind games has been called off by the Merc top brass last year, so other than that Nico may get the nod to get his WDC, but maybe not.

However IMO either way Hamilton is one of the fastest drivers out there, so in the right car at the right time, he can keep harvesting more WDC's.....Nico must have cursed the day Ham signed up with Merc.

 

Read elsewhere that the PU tokens left available are as follows:-
Renault 12
Ferrari 10
Honda 9
Merc 7

 

The Sky guys had Christian on the wall a while back in FP3. They asked him about the 4 PU limit, and lets say he wasn't happy about it....... Partly sour grapes given Smiley Boy's blowup no doubt, but does seem silly.

He also said it was Force India (short version ) that wanted the 4 limit - Duh!......

Ted Kravitz reckons Renault used ~8 in testing. Honda "maybe as many as ten, but at least 5 or 6".

Damn tracks pretty much empty right now (35mins left in FP3) That sucks if you're in the stands.

There's no doubt he's one of the quickest guys out there. Two titles is never anything to be sneezed at. [One, maybe..... ]

He may well get a few more before he's done. Good luck to him.

However, I don't think Nico did any "cursing" when he joined. It was *damn* close all the way & could have gone either way at the last race after all.

Nico certainly seems better in qualy - If he can keep it together we should have another great season - At least between those two. Behind them, we'll see what happens. Looking forward to it.

If Smiley Boy didn't have bad luck, he'd have no luck at all.
