I pulled my airbox off for the first time. Once ferrule is missing I'm sure it's not down the carb though!.. I am going to try and synch the carbs for the first time. I bought a flow meter but amazon sent me three Anyway, I'm having trouble getting a decent tach signal with solid core SPUK wires so I put in old Cavis wires in the front coil and cylinder #5. We'll see how it goes this week.
I ripped all the leather off my driver side seat to replace it! Finally! Will have a dump of pics at some point. It's going well so far.
We've finally gotten our circuit boards and I assembled the first one for testing this weekend. There were a few easily fixable software issues and I've calibrated the board to the expected inputs from the modern sensor. Output was to my extra 328 oil pressure gauge. On my mechanic's advice I tried a tank of 90 octane non-ethanol gas. Car seems to run better. The flat spot at three thou is almost gone and it starts beautifully when hot. Seems to be more responsive and may have a bit more power.
On Tuesday 3/10/15 my wife and I drove the Dino from Newport News to VIR for the FCA two day track day event. We had a great time and met some really nice people; Bonnie with the Alfa 4C, Tom with the 458 Italia Spider and 288 GTO and Jess. Missed Monday due to work and a lot of the cars had left due to bad weather early Tuesday but it looked like a fun event and the car ran like a train.
Installed my Superformance 16" wheels (replacing my TRX's) with brand new Bridgestone Potenza's mounted on them. Makes a MASSIVE difference in how the car handles and drives. So much quieter from the tires as well! Also, the car has a better stance and looks more aggressive. Biggest upgrade yet.
finished up my wires - eliminated the extenders. Got more linkage parts from Borla - i was the test mule for the linkage parts this winter. Looks we got it right after many tries. Image Unavailable, Please Login
First drive of the season yesterday! B-) The snow in Sweden is finally gone! Starting my 6th year with the car, just running better and better!

I took her to a local shop to pass NJ emissions testing. 1st time she failed in like 6 years! Granted, she's been sitting still for 5 cold winter months for the 1st time in 6 years! She's staying overnight so they can tinker with her. A "While your in there" was to check the A/C charge. She's low again from last year indicating a leak so they have to look for last year's dye charge. When she gets home, I have to replace the front shock bushings and the upper & lower ball joints. I believe they are original.
She passed her emissions after some fiddling around. Found out she's leaking a/c oil around the compressor. I'll have to track down the threads on the York? replacement compressors. She's an '83
My GT4 Passed MOT (safety check and emissions) week before last. Friend and I changed oil and other fluids last week. renewed insurance. All set for another year
Installed new CIS fuel lines today. Now all fuel, vapor and injector lines are new. Suspension bushings are all done. Zippered trunk cover went on today also. Nowjust waiting for the plastic fuel line clips and engine compartment will be done. Next.......new switchplates for center console.
Installed a new trunk cover. The zipper broke on the original last summer. The new one went in easily and the zipper is way better.
For those planning to buy a complete new trunk cover due to the zipper, it's worth considering replacing only the small pulling thing. You can just fit a new one.
My zipper was intact but wouldn't close, and I was able to fix it by gently pinching the sides of the slider with pliers (thanks to fchat). If it isn't broken, you might want to give that a shot before replacing it. Image Unavailable, Please Login

Went for a run through the backroads from Houston to Brenham to check out the Blue Bonnets and have lunch at Volare. Rolled over the 40000 mi mark during the drive. It was fun to see all those zeroes on the odometer Lunch was great, lots of flowers out close to Brenham, but next weekend and the one after might be better. Ciao Paul
Took her out of the CarCapsule "bubble" and took her for a short run. Definitely heading to Cars and Coffee tomorrow before church.
