One of the best things I did to the car. Rides better than stock. So many adjustments you can make with just a turn of a knob and you can change the pressure in the canisters instead of changing springs.
10lbs of increase pressure in the canister is like increasing spring pressure 30lbs.

Can you adjust dampening vs spring rate or does it need to get calibrated at the factory to change the dampening curve

Great thread! One of the best 355 threads ever, as to many of us that keep our cars as OEM as possible, this thread gives us many different perspectives upon building on top of one of the most classically beautiful Ferraris of all time. Keep the pictures coming...

    great thread
I appreciate the purists among us prefer keep the 355 all original and for now my own car will be mostly stock for a while, but eventually I will get a set of at least 19's.

just that at proper ride height completely transforms the car as seen in some pics here.

in regards to 19's I have still not to date seen a clear go to set up for 19's on the 355.
rim dimension, tire size and offsets. which does not require folding of wheel wells or spacers.

any owners running 19s please chip in.

It looks cool and all but I can't imagine how much that would raise temps in the engine bay.

I would be interested to know that too, but I suspect not enough to make it a prohibitory mod. I would love to know where that was done, what the process was and how much it cost.

I agree those brakes look great. In particular the fact that the calipers still say "Ferrari"

That is the main thing that has stopped me buying a big brake kit for my car.
I don't want the calipers to say anything other than "Ferrari"

    Will check them out.

I know someone out there put porsche calipers on the 355, was able to cover porsche and put ferrari sticker, and clear coated it. I remember it looked cool and I'm sure it performed great as porsche brakes are always good.
Can the 360 or 430 brakes fit the 355 without major modification?
I was looking on ebay few days ago and saw a complete set of 360 brakes for about $1500 and a set of 430 calipers for $2000. If it fits without much modification I think it's a fair price compared to brembos or whatever. I imagine ebrake would be a problem for sure. Any info on this would be great. I'd love a 430 set on my car.

not sure where it was done, buts its the engine bonnet from a 360 spider.
The 355 decklid was cut, and supports moved to accommodate the mod.

Not sure about heat-soak issues, but I cant imagine its THAT BAD...

I'm running 19s with no rubbing, and have never had to roll the fenders.
However, I'm not running any spacers. May put some HE spacers on the front this summer, but as of now, never had an issue.

As far as ride height, Im running lowered challenge suspension and sway bars...
    Fills the wheel wells perfect.
