Sorry for piling on here so much lately..

Photography is a wonderful thing to get into for a focus change from the desk.. especially when in a nice location as I happen to be for the past little while..

Also making it easy is the incredible convenience of the iPhone panorama mode which I've grown fond of.. these pics taken just now left handed with the dog tugging on the lead on the right hand.. just goes to show how easy and wonderful the iPhone (or other similar) can be for this style of "quick pic"..

One tap anywhere on the scene gets the exposure set (mostly) right for what you want and tap to start and end.. simple.. love it!

Certainly a nice diversion from the freezing rain here today in the Great White North... Thanks Alex for the amazing pictures especially the sun on the water in the third from last picture above!

Thanks for saying that.. I'm pleased you like them!

Just back from a local flight.. here's some more to send you more warm and sunny thoughts!

btw the broad river you see is the one I used to get the sunrise perspective you liked..

Even though was busy day on the road all day yesterday and late evening return it was still worth it to jump up pre-dawn and get the moon setting while sun rising!

I *almost* flopped back into bed.. but said "nah".. and shot out to a nearby river I knew might have potential.. luckily clouds co-operated and even a few flights of birds came past at almost the perfect place..

Had some fun with time exposure and 2 lasers.. been hard to get dark moonless sky and also cloudless this past month.

This one could do with perhaps a stop or so down and darker sky but moonrise was coming while this one was taken and washed things out a bit more than liked.. next time!

The waters here are beautiful, every time I've been at this spot I have seen a turtle just off the rocks.

Here's a section of breakwater and coast where been doing my bouldering and general workout.

I just got rock fisherman shoes giving me great grip which in turn has enabled me take harder and riskier routes and so am thinking of getting lightweight mountaineers helmet in case of a slip.

Rocks are hard things to hit with your head and I keep thinking of the Schumacher accident.. if it can happen to him.. well..

I left my bedroom curtains open awoke to this. The sun casting shadows on a strange cloud formation. Picture is as shot with no correction, I took it while still lying in bed but wish I was more awake to get a better shot.

Sharing some pics from swim and scramble around the rocks today at the delightfully named "Shark Beach" (yes has a shark net too!) within Sydney Harbour.

The great thing is you can see from the pics the city is not far away (15 min drive) and yet there is so much bushland and pristine water.

Sydney is blessed with extensive parts of foreshore which have been so well preserved and not taken for development.

That is a fantastic photograph. Especially if you live in Australia. :)
