Is bad weather the only thing that can beat Merc this year?

Remember when Button came from last to take the win from him in Canada? On the last lap too.

Too bad nothing like this will happen this year with that Honda Fit Alonso/Button are driving this year. They'll be lucky if they finish within one lap as of now.

 

At this point McLaren can only dream that their car got as good reviews as the Honda Fit, if you care about reviews of very reasonable small cheap cars.

Hamilton seems to have a very large mental edge over Nico that comes from having to come from behind not once but twice to take his second WDC last season. Hamilton just seemed to have his way with Nico in Australia and Nico powerless to do anything about it... but you are right its only been one race and time will tell but like I said if Merc manages to give Hamilton a car that finishes every grand prix he looks to have the form to win them all.
The perfect season for manufacture or driver has never happen for good reason and there is good reason with all the variables that happen over a single gp much less over an entire season. It looks like Merc and Hamilton could be in position and form to do both this season...

 

Yes, hamilton must be better...i still remenber theyr batle at a certain Brazilian g.p in 08...of course SEb had a vastly superior Toro Rosso and was fighting for the championship while Hamilton had a lousy Mclaren and was simply looking for a points finish.....

 

Silverstone 2008 Hamilton Lapped the entire field up to 3rd place...

 

When you're amost the only one who had the car set up right for those conditions it's not that difficult to do....

 

Than there is also that Monza race in 08...pole and victory from the best car of the season..lolo

I know its always the car with Hamilton... Every championship that he's one since he was a kid is down to his superior machinery rather than his skill as a driver. He only lucks in to championships he doesn't actually deserve them... *eyes still rolling*

You are right, he deserved the 2007 one!

That was his best season in my book.

As a newcomer, Hamilton unsettled his experienced team mate and almost took the title in his first year!

 

Other teams will win races this year (Renault powered ones highly unlikely though, and I'm not counting Honda either...).

Last year after a few races everyone claimed the same (probably even after the first) and other teams won races.

 

"almost" is the key word.....fortunatly for most of us, there was a certain driver at Ferrari that was better than both Mclaren ones....
