What do you porsche people think about the 60th Anniversary club car.
Only 60 will be made. On resale what do you think it would bring in California or some porsche riddled mecca. Is it that neat of a car, or just has a 60 on the door.
    Best,
    John

Zilch would be my guess. I like the color etc but I would consider it a collectible.

You may be right, with tax tag and title you are at almost $150,000 US dollars.

what is the motivation to buy ???

if it is about having a designated Porsche to collect, why not,

if it is about investment, the heck with it... why own something that is not personally desirable ( it's like dating the lazy unattractive fat broad, hoping she would inherit a fortune and become slim, trim, and lovely )

I see no upside with appreciation. Only a downside. To me, no new Porsche is an investment, maybe, the exception of the new RS, or 918 if can get one.

I just don't see a win-win situation. Just wondered if I was missing something.

Read that previous anniv 911's hold value way above regular ones. Not sure if that means appreciation or just less depreciation. Its a very nicely put together car regardless

I was fortunate to get one of the 50 2006 Club Coupes in Azzuro California Blue. There are not many changing hands (obviously) but in the recent Panorama they state one recently sold in the 6 figure range (probably low 6 figures, I'm guessing 110K to 120k). This would put it marginally above it's purchase price of right at 100K. Not a great investment but better than a standard 2006 C2S. It is anybody's guess as to what it will do in the future. I don't think they will go down from todays market. I am betting that when it gets to 25+ years old it could be worth considerably more than today (maybe 2X) Maybe not as good as some other investments, but sometimes you just like owning something that gives you some joy that doesn't have a large depreciation curve down to zero. Mine will go to my kids when I am 6 feet under.
