    After two laps:

    Manuel Lauck Currently running 8th with 001 in front of the new R8s, Bentleys, V12 vantage, SLS etc; Dobson 24th with 002.

    Very promissing.

    yeah pitted while running in P6... appears to haven't come back out but no real infos yet
    BTW insane laptimes at the front from the SLS, the first lap was a 8:02min.....

    EDIT: race red flagged due to accident at Flugplatz, apparently a Nissan GT-R...

    We were running 6 and 18 and moving up when Black Flagged for too loud.
    We'll be back!!!"

    Nissan GTR went airborne at Flugplatz, and flew through the safety barrier :( Several spectators hurt and at least one dead, RIP. Sad day at the ring. Race didn't restart after the incident.

    After yesterdays accident, the classes SP7, SP8, SP8T, SP9, SP10, SP-Pro und SP-X are banned from racing at the Nordschleife. They will have to analyse why this happened and how it can be prevented from happening again before these classes are allowed back to the Nordschleife.

    SCG is SP-X

    so entire reason to make scg a street/race hybrid is now gone?

    I don't think this will be a long term issue as I imagine they will limit spectator access to the areas where this is a potential problem. After all, it is really a surprise that a car got airborne at place called Flugplatz?

    Yea, hopefully this will resolve rather quickly. Limiting spectator access seems like the reasonable thing to do, on top of examining the aero/performance envelopes of given classes.

    Hopefully in time for the N24.

    So sad that this happened though. Terrifying on so many levels to so many people.

    Hi

    Very sad on many levels.

    Personally I hope and think they will make some safety changes, examine performance potential, and racing will go on at The Ring.

    There are other races that have invited us and we will continue racing either way.

    On the positive side before we were Black Flagged after only 6 laps for being to loud we ran very well and our cars have huge potential.

    001 was running 6TH OA and 002 moved up from 33 to 18 and was gaining on the rest of the field.

    001 did a 8:12 GP+NS which is about 20 seconds faster than P 4/5 C and a 6:40 NS. (With a lot of ballast and restricted HP to meet race rules)

    The fans were amazing as always.

    Jim, is there a frequency I can't hear in the race videos? 003C doesn't seem very loud compared to the other cars.
