It depends on if you have one or not? I believe you can get one for about $1,700.

I can't believe that this car and the 348 salvage car both are unsold. Dollar for dollar they are probably the best bang for your buck available now. Come on Powerball!!!!!!!!

Can a Canadian win that lottery?

I looked it up and the answer is yes:

"Yes. You do not need to be a U.S. citizen to play or to claim a prize. Non US residents will be required to provide an address outside of the U.S. and 30 percent of the prize amount will be automatically deducted for federal taxes."

The above is Washington State. States with a state income tax, will deduct even more taxes.

I can get the 30% back because I'm not a resident. I have a friend who won $90,000 at the Hold Em table in Vegas a few years back. My wife (an Accountant) was able to get the 30% back after he was forced to pay it at the Casino. So if you win let me claim the prize. All I ask is that you let me keep the 30% you would have lost anyways.....LOL! Man has this thread taken a turn.

    You asked! :)

I'm Canadian. Gambling winnings (Casino, Lotto) are not taxed in Canada. Under the tax treaty with the U.S, getting back taxes paid is easy for Canadians. :)

Back to the reason for being in this thread. I'm curious on what this and the other 308's sell for.

I'm curious as well. A dealer in Detroit wants all my cars. Including this one. This car is by far my favorite! The 83 and 84 QV are also super clean. If it doesn't sell I will give it to him next week. He's going to add his dealer tax and move it quick.

Are you consigning or selling to the dealer?

I don't know yet but I'm leaning towards consignment. That way if the market moves higher (which it will in the Spring) before I sell I can always adjust accordingly. Get it now while it's still attainable folks.....

    Cheers,

I would advertise them more, before turning them over to a dealer. Both Canadian and American autotrader. Hemmings and even EBay. Canadian advertising, you'd have to come up with a decent Canadian price. You won't get U.S dollars in Canada.

Thanks for the advice. I'm in no rush to let this special car go. The snow is melting already!

I don't get it. It looks like you have 3 good looking apparently solid cars listed. With all this "bubble" hype I would have expected multi increasing offers by now. I'm just saying I'm a little surprised.

Maybe you are not quite discounting enough for someone else to have the major service done by a typical Ferrari shop ($6k-$8k) but still at $50-$70k with you being willing to have that service done they should be gone by now. Right?

It sounds like you are surprised too since you are considering dealer/consignment as the next step.

The only guys buying right now are the dealers. They are hoarding cars in anticipation of the price increases. All these cars need are new belts and bearings. Everything else was just done. This car in particular needs nothing as the Major was just done in October of 2013. I'm not worried. The good cars are worth keeping. What's the worst that can happen? I get to enjoy them a little while longer.

As long as time is on your side and you don't need to move the car immediately, I would say you have nothing to lose by being patient for the right buyer especially as the sun starts to thaw out this annoying winter. I personally would be happier to see this fine machine go to an enthusiast rather than a dealer mark-up machine, but as it isn't my car it isn't my decision.

Good luck no matter which move you make.

    Thanks.

So far this one is not going anywhere unless I find the right buyer. The others may but this girl will stay with me for now.

What would it take to bring this 308 to Colorado? I am not sure it would
pass USA customs without a front bumper ?

I've read the whole post, but not convinced about importing it. I purchased
a BMW from Canada and took me three days through USA customs because
they required a letter from the manufacturer stating it was USA EPA compliant even though it was an original USA car.

I guess your 308 in Detroit would be the easiest one to purchase, but not as
desirable as this one to me.

I don't think that it would be a big deal at all. I'd let me Customs broker TFX do all the work for you. The Broker fee would be about $295. The car in Detroit is gone to the dealer there.

Really beautiful car! I have almost the same Ronal's on my Alfa, only they aren't three piece. GLWS. Truly a stunning 308.

Adam got right back to me when I inquired. It was around $1600 plus the duty fee. That includes shipping to NY metro area. They take care of everything.
Why is this car still for sale??? Should have been gone months ago.
