It's been a good series, but IMHO the format was getting a little stale anyways. It's a good opportunity to try something completely different.

From Twitter comments by May and Hammond, looks like they are not going to renew their contracts.

Means if they go forward with another Top Gear it will be new presenters. The big rumor is the three presenters will move to Netflix with a new show. So a new Top Gear would have major competition going up against whatever the boys do.

Id like to see a new show with the boys, not interested in a new Top Gear.

Having two shows would not be bad. Sometimes I get annoyed with Clarkson's constant bashing of America but 99% of the time I found him funny and entertaining. I do not know if any of us will know the real truth of what happened but change is usually a good thing. I will miss The Stig, May and Hammond more than Clarkson though.

    It is what it is.

T Clarkson made the show enjoyable to watch. He was funny and knowledgeable about cars. If he hit someone aggressively they had no choice other than firing him. This will kill the show. It has been going down hill for a while. I hated the road challenges etc.

He hated everything, but he was fun to watch.

Someone said the US Top gear was horrible and I agree. They wanted to do a segment on one of my cars. I told them no! If it was BBC top gear I may have done it just to meet Clarkson and friends.

Oh well there is always I Love Lucy :)

It is. I'm surprised it's still running.

Hopefully the BBC comes up with something to carry on the motortainment tradition.

BBC claims they'll still do a Top Gear, even with all new presenters. Agree another network would scoop up May, Hammond and Clarkson for a new show.

    I believe the Netflix rumors.

I'd be surprised if it lasts longer than one or two seasons. Who could BBC get to replace Clarkson, Hammond, and May? Maybe Chris Harris would work, but he can't host the entire show himself.

Chris Harris talking about TG situation in his newest blog post. He indirectly pointed some very accurate facts, and also implied guys (geeks with insane driving skills) like him wouldn't fit TG format. How time passes my respect for CH is even bigger.

Chris Harris as a guy with lots of experience with cars and Russel as totally crazy guy could be really cool combination. I would laugh just by looking them together discussing cars, because they are insanely differenet personalities :D

We shall soon see what kind of man Clarkson truly is. Will he bring James and Richard with him or will he be an opportunist? I hope he has some loyalty to his t.v. mates.

If Clarkson really has been a tantrum prone prima Donna who has physically assaulted colleagues or subordinates more than once then I for one won't watch him any longer.

It would have to be a non-network source like Netflix, or possibly a pay channel. PC-obsessed American broadcast/cable would never put up with JC's unbridled free speech. I will say that BBC's TG has production values that will be difficult ....and expensive....to match.
