I absolutely adore this car. I'm very close to skipping the Speciale and just keeping it. Image Unavailable, Please Login

Hi one and all, this morning I was in Milan to take possession of the Scud I fell in love with and bought last month;I had dropped in to say hallo and when I "saw her standing there" I just couldn't let her go!The guys at Rosso Corsa are nothing short of GREAT because every time they hand you the keys they do that with a little "cerimony",no matter if you're a regular customer or not, truly wonderful service from wonderful people who really know how to "pamper" their customers...what you'd expected 50 years ago in Maranello! It oughta been a temporary "stop gap" between the 458 and the Speciale but this one will stay with me and will be passed to my nephew! It's virtually mint,6k miles on the clock and still on her original Pirellis, soon to be swapped for Michelins. She comes with her V(ehicle) I(dentification) P(assport) and, amongst the other things,I've been presented with a bottle of fine wine "dedicated" to this very car...nice,classy touch! I LOVE the 458 and even more so the Speciale but I've always had a soft spot for the Scuderia and definitely had to have a nice one..here she is! Any way of getting Ferrari to send out a VIP book at a charge after the fact? I do not have this for our Scuderia as I am not the original owner.
This is what I'm thinking too. Does every Scud has such a pics from the factory, or it is an exclusive option, that needs to be paid additionally when ordering the car?
Hi Rumen, I can't tell you precisely; this was one of those little classy "touches" wanted by Mr. Luca Cordero di Montezemolo but it won't be carried on to the latest vehicles, that's at least what I've been told when configuring my Speciale. On the other hand,on the 2014 "Programma Allestimenti Speciali" book, this is to be considered as an option.During the "Montezemolo Era" it was only possible with cars like the 430 Scuderia and,of course, the Enzo and the LaFerrari.Last night I've seen a video about a Scud for sale on YouTube and it came with the same book but I don't know whether it was standard for those vehicles (surely is with the LaFerrari) or if it was upon request.I've not seen too many of these books, therefore I reckon that it either was an option or they were "seized" by the former owners! Best Regards Manny
Thanks. My car is 08 it has a special color and it came from Germany, but unfortunately I am the 3rd owner and I never met the first owner. Maybe he has kept the book. But this is really a very beautiful option for sure, I really regret, that I don't have such a thing for my car I am also glad to hear good words about Rosso Corsa, I'm buying my parts from there (as we don't have a dealership in Bulgaria) and I am also considering to bring my car there for the next stamp in the service book.
Ciao Rumen,NürScud and JMC08, I'll be more than glad to ask if these books were an option or if they were standard with these cars! JMC08;IMHO If you supply them the ID of your car and IF they have the pictures of your car on the assembly line I don't think it would be a problem, but you'd better ask your local dealer! NürScud;thank you for stopping and watching! Rumen;I've sent you a PM! Cheers Manny
Ok people it has been a long winter. I took the scud out today and it left me speechless and then laughing like a 12 year old. This car is so fun, sounds so good, especially on that red line in 2nd - bam - red line in third ... stamp on the brakes before you get arrested haha. The car is SO loud it feel like your ears are going to bleed ITS FRIKKIN GREAT!
I was under the impression all 430s had the VIP book. I know I've seen several on non scud versions. As far as getting a replacement I'm not sure about this.
Nice angle of the 430 Scuderia: https://www.facebook.com/samijoemansour/photos/pb.462290850559903.-2207520000.1429044425./687178144737838/?type=3&theater
It was an extra cost option available across the model range for a period of time. My Scuderia didn't have it; but a friend ordered it for his 430 Spider. I paid for the option on my current 458 Speciale.
