Where did all the 355GTS and 355B's go?

Took mine out today for a few shots before the rains came. Haven't had them together on the road since I picked up the challenge last summer. These cars are amazing.

Can't remember last time I saw a 355 at a Ferrari dealer. Another sign of the demand in 355's going up.

Anecdotal of course, but there's always interest in my GTS when I have it at shows and in for service. Seems like dealers can't get their hands on many GTB/GTS variants. Those that have them know what they have and aren't letting go.

 

Gasp! Without even posting pictures online a Ferrari dealer sold a F355 GTS for $80k in a matter of days?!

In 6 months that will sound like a steal.

 

And it wasn't even a red/tan three pedal. Wowsers.

 

He who cannot be mentioned sent me a link for a 97 red tan GTB for sale at a Hyundai dealer in Texas.

Needless to say, I called right away.

The car sold to a dealer within 2 hours of it being listed. No photos available. Last major in 2007. 33k miles.

I'd bet it pops up for sale in the next month with a fresh major for 90k+ at an indipendant. Black horse anyone?

These valuation threads are freaking dangerous... I was completely safe holding on to a $50k toy that doesn't depreciate. First time I've ever considered letting mine go -- I won't, but I don't even like being tempted.

I think he was just making an observation. Not surprising it hasn't been done as the ad states the car has not been driven since 1999.

 

I saw this about 2 months ago while they were doing engine out. The car was in awful shape. It looked liked it lived its whole life outside. Maybe at 60k but the car was abused,

 

Interesting. Abused for 5k miles between 1995 and 1999 or did 16 years of sitting do a number on it?

Would be interesting to see the itemized $28k major service just performed.
