No problem, it is just to avoid confusing Furmano who is chasing US GTBs...so far, there are only two US GTBs identified in Europe, but you could have discovered a third one... There was the GTS you discovered in Italy, which was for sale a few month back, and is a very late production car, US Model, that an Italian customer bought directly from the factory because he did not want to wait until an euro one was available. So he bought a car that is a US Model GTS, but that never actually left Italy....could have bene the same with an US GTB... Rgds
Interestingly, 80118, a Swiss 1989 328 GTB, won Platino at the 2014 Ferrari Club of America event. -F
There were quite a few cars from Canada at that event so it might not be in the US. I know of another very nice Swiss car in Canada but it is not that one.
Well, speaking of swiss GTBs...by the way... There is also that Swiss GTB (ZFFCA19S000079557) for sale in Norway these days; the particulars of the cars are well detailled in the add, and I would not be surprised if this should proves to be the car of one of our F-Chatters friends here ("Conan", maybe...?) Yes, I know that GTB very well, great condition, Local to the Toronto area. Two other Local GTB's, 1988.5 and mine 1989 (79603).
Bob did a great job looking after her, and 79603 has never been in better condition than it currently is.
I was discussing 80682 today with a friend; shouldn't it be added to the list? (I leave the answer to the American F-Chatters) It is a US Model 328 GTB that never left Italy, and was never driven. It was intended for the United States, but an Italian customer wanted a GTB immediately and that car was sold to him. It has been advertised for sale for more than a year now, with 394 miles on the odometer. (Rosso Corsa / Beige) Rgds

I think it's not actual registration. I saw picture post on website in 2008 and this car was offered in Finland last year.
I'd put it on the list as a US model with a notation it was never shipped over. My purpose anyway is a complete listing of the cars, the version they are and the differences over the production period as well as colors, options etc. It is really not in my personal interest where they are. Also if they still exist and if not why not.
I agree, let's add the US cars that are in Europe with a note that they are In Europe, with the knowledge that some of these cars may come back at some point in the future. But as an aside, let's not add any non-US cars (for example the Swiss cars in Canada). I'll update the list over the weekend. -F
US cars in Europe added or notated. Thanks nero, bertrand59, and enzo360. There is a US 328 GTB listed in Matthias Urban's book That has not been discussed here until now, as far as I remember, it Is 81569: ZFFXA19A6K0081569, which is said by the book to be Prugna / Crema: a very rare (and beautiful...) color combo. Anybody knows That car? Rgds
Last I knew, it was owned by an Fchatter who bought it new but prefers to be secretive about it. Dave
Thanks for the update, Dave. It is a bit of a pity not to be allowed to see some pics as Prugna over Crema is very beautiful, and very rare; I would not be surprised if there were only a couple of "B"s only in that color combo over the whole 328 production run. But, of course, it is naturally the owner's privilege and perfectly understandable. So the car is indeed extant and Furmano can add it to the list of US "B"s... Rgds
I think the owner did post pics here without a vin years ago. My search skills are not good so maybe someone can resurrect it. Dave
Dave, For the time being, I have exactly 1942 identified chassis numbers for "serie 2" 328s. Among these 1942 cars, I have ONE Prugna/Crema GTS, and ONE Prugna/Crema GTB; both US cars, by the way. So, a pic of a Prugna/Crema US 328 GTB with bulged wheels, even without a VIN, I would have guessed it very probably was 81569... But no worry, I respect privacy... Thanks. Rgds
I'm not familiar with Matthias Urban's book. Is that a Euro book or U.S. ? Any idea how he got so many serial numbers? Seems a bit unusual that he could have dug up an unknown serial number out of nowhere on an obscure car like a 328GTB. Is he connected with Ferrari to be able to find this kind of info? If not, how does he have more info that some members of this board?
