Seb vs Kimi :2015

I wasn't speaking about points and titles. I agree Sebastian is very young and talented and is very likely to earn many more points and titles and maybe surpass Michael in that way. But I meant that no driver can replace another for me as a Ferarri fan. I look at each one as individually special. I agree that Michael would have been so pleased about Sebastian and I too hope that he was able to appreciate it. Forza Michael!

 

I agree that both Ferrari drivers were superb in Malaysia. Kimi drove his best race for Ferrari (on this 2nd tour of duty) and was hauling butt. More, please!
I still think that on a race-by-race basis Kimi won't come close to beating Vettel, just as he didn't w/ Alonso. I do think he can occasionally best his stable mate most probably at Spa & a few other places.

 

Records are made to be broken but there are Ferrari drivers that will always be personal favorites.
Mine was from Santa Monica.

 

To me they keep going on equal foot, can´t say who is better, only who is luckyer....i should remenber that Kimi is probably the most regular and reliable driver on the whole grid, he just needs to end this bad patch..

 

Seb like Michael has certainly learned the benefit of being a team player.

 

I was wondering about that. With all the cars lined up to start Q2 (looked like Black Friday at KMart), who's job is it to get a clear lap? Can the driver do enough during the out lap to try to ensure sufficient spacing ahead of him without being accused of holding everyone else up? Could the team have done more to get Kimi more toward the front of the line?

Unfortunately, NBC was in commercial during the actual lineup process.

 

Two races:
Seb: 2 podiums, and 1 win.
Kimi: 0 podiums

I don't really think that Kimi is better (faster smarter and luckier) than Seb or Hamilton or Rosberg.

But he may help Ferrari win some points for the constructors championship.

I don't think he is contender for the drivers championship.

While pretty funny, I do think that in this case at least, more than a little unfair. He lost almost a lap, OK, he then got a little lucky with the SC, but he still drove one helluva fine race to finish where he did.

As I said before, if he didn't have bad luck he'd have no luck.

Hopefully, things will go his way soon and we'll see what I believe he remains capable of once again.

I'd like to answer that with another question: what is Kimi still doing in F1?

Verstappen, Sainz, Bottas, Kvyat, Ricciardo, Hulkenberg. All better candidates to ride a Ferrari alongside Seb, imho.

So far, Seb is the better driver. And Kimi did not do well compared to Alonso.

AS i said, apart from fortune there is nothing between the both of them.....SEb hasn't shown any more pace than Kimi, and Kimi wasn't to blame for the incidents he was involved in, it's as simple as that....having said this, i don't really care wich oine of them wins, i like them both...

Vettel seam to be luckier than Kimi. And again, luck is when the preparation meets the opportunity. Do the math.

 

There is no doubt in my mind that Kimi is the quicker driver. With any luck Kimi will prove this weekend.

 

Kimi is more aggressive driver than Vettel. At the end of the day he has nothing to lose. His F1 career is almost over.

 

They are both fantastic and very close in race pace. I think Sebastian might have the edge in qualifying consistency and is a titch faster, but you can bet on Kimi like clockwork in a race and he will pull that car right up to the front. It is really the best of all worlds we have with the drivers working together instead of at one anothers throats and no unchecked egos storming the garage in the form of drivers or team and crew. It is a time we can make real progres. Meanwhile the drivers can have fun racing each other too.

It says a lot. If Kimi has a car he likes, he can bring it to great speeds unlike Alonso who can just hop in any car and adjust. It makes a big difference. It seems both Kimi and Vettel like a stable rear and responsive front and Alonso and Hamilton like fast and loose.

I personally lean towards Kimi and Vettel. I like to point my wheel where I want the car to go and it goes there with limited understeer rather than using the rear to push the car where I want it with limited oversteer.
