I don't think KKK or anybody else supplies these turbos. They are nothing like normal ones. [edit]It appears only Mercedes make their own after reading the IHI article. No wonder their engine is the best.[/edit]

They are made by the teams, as I am sure see the castings. Sure pistons and rods come from suppliers ...

You don't seem to understand that they are allowed to bench test engines and can simulate any track and condition.

So they test first, find the fix and then submit the token.

The problem with the Renault design is their engineers stuffed up and for some idiotic reason kept the hot and cold part of the turbo together. This means the intake air needs more cooling to make power and this compromises aero of the car.

I bet RB have very tight aero requirements and therefore Renault are not able to cool the intake charge as much as Merc and Ferrari which equates to a huge loss of power.

Whose fault: not the FIA, or Bernie (this time) or the token system but engineers at Renault that did not put enough thought it designing this PU. Biggest fail in engineering of modern times ... surely somebody has been sacked?
