Whatever...................
Doubt I'm swearing directly at you here. Would silly be a better word? I'm not sure. You're entitled to your own opinion on the Kimi matter but I tried to correct you because your reasoning was wrong. 2 out of the 3 races this year Kimi has been directly hit by other drivers and you say it's an excuse. That's silly, and wrong. He showed strongly even during those races where he got hit, and you think he should still finish ahead of a younger, 4x WDC somehow.
2nd for Kimi. Now, let's just do as he says: "Leave me alone, I know what I'm doing", shall we? 3.3 sec behind Hamilton by the end of the race !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great race for Kimi. This performace will likely seal a one year contract extension. Very little to choose between Vettel and Kimi. Seb has an edge on single lap qualifying pace and Kimi has the edge in race craft. The team and both drivers are happy, motivated and working well together. No reason to change anything for next year...
Had he won he would still not be impressed with himself!!!! I imagine when Kimi son is born...look Kimi it's your son!!.... K-So what?
I suspect it would actually be: "Yeah for sure but the delivery took too long! - He should have been quicker getting out so we have to look at the data to see how we can be quicker next time!"
That's very early morning, like Arrivabene said on the BBC this weekend; let's wait and see what Kimi delivers this season.... Given his past, salary, the team he's driving for and his performance last season; he should deliver more.
The impression I got from the Arrivabene interview was that he was quite impressed with Kimi this season and that they were highly likely to offer him a drive for 2016. As for delivering more, I think Ferrari know that last season the car was nowhere near up to the job and simply didn't suit him, and that this year he's been unlucky in races but has fought back really well to get good results. So far this season, in Australia the team let him down by failing to attach the wheel nut correctly on the car causing a DNF, and in Malaysia the team dropped him into trouble in the first place by getting him out in track at the wrong time in qualifying, just as the rain came down! Apart from Australia, he's finished amongst the top 4 cars in every race, alongside the dominant Mercedes cars and Vettel in the sister Ferrari, so what more is he supposed to magically do? At the end of the day, Kimi likes the team (including his team-mate), they in turn like him, and they're all working well together, so why would they want to look elsewhere and upset the apple cart? As things stand right now, I'd be amazed to see anyone else other than Kimi in the second Ferrari next year!
Winter is coming! He's just getting his stride. James Allison designed this car around Kimi and it's coming together. And to have teammates that work together is priceless. Seb and kimi rocked that start together. And though kimi has faced challenges in the early races you don't see him whining like a little....... I hate to say merc has a better car but they do. We are doing very well against them. That was such a great combo of driver and team today. I'm proud to be tifosi today!
I really like that comment regarding the start ^^^^^ Excellent. Yes they did. That was a brilliant move by Seb, and subsequently by Kimi, to cause serious problems for Nico. I don't see Kimi going anywhere for 2016 other than Ferrari, and that is very good for us. I'm still amazed at some of the comments on this board regarding his driving ability. Really? If you take a close look at this season, Kimi has performed better than anyone else given the obstacles he has been faced with. The bottom line is, the true mark of a champion is not how they perform when everything is going right, it is how they perform when things are going wrong. Kimi has proven himself. Period. Ferrari is lucky he stuck around, unlike Alonso. Foolish egomaniac.
It makes me laugh sometimes. There are a few folks here that would not be satisfied with Ferrari's drivers' performance unless both Kimi and Vettel won the same race.
Well hopefully Ferrari is ready to offer Kimi the job for next season. It isn't just that he is a great driver, he is also a part of a Ferrari team that is working like a harmonious machine these days. I truly believe that is why we are moving ahead so rapidly this season. We now have a win, 2 second places and a third place in 4 races! That is amazing. I would not like it if a difficult character or any other driver came in and ruined the feeling that is all throughout our team right now. It is very positive and makes me believe we can eventually be back on top! SIGN HIM UP FERRARI!
When you're 4th fastest, back into the best strategy, AND two of the faster guys go off you're supposed to finish second. What else would you expect?
