This Iso Grifo was the last Grifo built by the factory

There is a Grifo 413 it was stamped but unfinished at the time the factory closed. 413 was then finished by an ex employee and later modified in the 90's by a Italian body shop.

So 412 holds the distinction of being the last Grifo built by the Iso Rivolta Company. It has all the options available, AC, PS, ZF 5 Speed.

Grifo 412 will be at Concorso Italiano with Grifo 001 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Iso Grifo. The first and Last Iso Grifo built by the factory side by side.

If this car was originally numbered as 371, then changed by the factory to 412, isn't 411 the last factory car? When was 371 built?

No 412 is that last car built by the factory, 413 was stamped but finished by an ex employee outside of the factory.

371 was somewhat of a prototype for the 351C engine and originally came with a automatic, it was later converted in 1974 to a 5 speed and re numbered and resold.

it is the only Grifo the company made in 1974

    I'm so confused !!

Grifo 363 is the first car fitted with the C351, but 371 was the 351C prototype?
Grifo 371 was completed in 1972 as a 351 S1, but was re-stamped 412 and completed in 1974 as a S2 and the last factory car?
Grifo 413 was stamped in 1974 but not completed, but was a S2 with a 351C? Then converted in to a Diamante 7L?
What do you say about this photo attributed as Grifo 413?
I'm not trying to split hairs here or piss anyone off, but to me it seems there is a bit of legend and myth regarding what is in fact the "Last Factory Car".

412 was a prototype for the Auto transmission, later changed by factory to ZF 5 speed

chassis stamp dates don't ship out the back door in the same order.

413 was stamped at the factory but finished after the company closed by Roberto Negri as a Series 2 w Ford engine. Then in the 90's Diamonte purchased this car cut the nose and turned it back into a series one with big block engine.

It was then issued another chassis number that was more in line with a series one car and auctioned off on the east coast by RM as a 7 litre prototype, you can fill in the blanks why any of this happened...

So 371 was built in 72, never sold and sat in the factory till 1974, and was re stamped 412?
Thus the "Last Grifo Built'? Maybe the last factory conversion. Still seems to me that the last factory "build" was 411, just saying..........
Chris's list show there were 25 automatics starting with 026, and the first factory Ford Automatic as 370 , not 371 aka 412.
Really not a big deal, just the bluster of 412 being the "last car built" that rubs me the wrong way.
I'm just a rookie so don't take anything I say being of any value.
    PS I don't own 411!
