    The tires are rubber...

Parking outside in a hail storm would be far worse.

He is simply a hail storm of "stupid"...vandalism, file a Police Report and call your insurance company.

    That's why you buy it.

    No, not really.

While Stumptown is indeed "bike friendly," that friendliness extends to road bikes.

BMXers are frowned upon / distrusted here, same as everywhere else.

I've never met as many coffee baristas with sleeves on both arms and triple masters degrees in feminist postmodern literature... though didn't go to the bikini coffee shops. ;)

Coava has the best coffee IMHO.

From the birthplace of the hipster, I wouldn't drive my 360 anywhere near downtown or the pearl. I'd be in Lake Oswego..

Let the police handle it...my life or further injury are not worth the price of a $400,000 Car. This does not mean that I do not care about my cars, because they really are my passion. Don't bring yourself down to the gutter level.

Did you read what I wrote? No, I won't go to hell and back over a consumer good. I will however do it, to see that piece of garbage dangle for spitting me in my face so to speak. It's very clear cut why he did it. Some people can't handle the fact that some of us have done well for ourselves and have more. They find it okay to vandalize and treat us badly, as when people shout at you in the car, or act disrespectful at the parking lot or pump. Don't you see the message in his act? It's not about vandalizing an expensive car, it's about telling the owner what he thinks of him. And if someone thinks that little of me and think he can get away with treating people like that, he's got another thing coming.

This is a no brainer: either hire a hitman or, if his fee is too high, do the job myself.

I was a boy, I have teenage boys, and I have spent extensive amounts of time with them and their friends and witnessed how they think or fail to. I believe this was, in a dumbarse way, done out of respect for the car! I bet this kid has seen and admired this car for a long time, and he practiced this move on other cars before doing it on the lambo.

Kids love to make videos of themselves doing stupid stuff and post it publicly for personal fame. Purely selfish and not intended to disrespect the owner, and not some sort of 99% statement. An exotic car is just an expensive prop to instantly make his antics more relevant to his peers. I bet before, and probably more so after getting nailed, this kid achieved his goal.
    Proof?....... this thread.

My opinion: he should be brought up on charges for vandalism.... that said, it was kind of an awesome and smoothly done trick! Now fillet me for that!

Curious what he does to his girlfriend to show respect to her.

I avoid downtown Portland for many reasons, this is just another one to add to the list ;)

I did plenty of stupid, dare-devil things when I was a kid. Never to be famous on YouTube because I don't have that kind of ego, but what I never did was put someone else's property at risk. My parents raised me better than that.

The real answer here is this is an example of why I don't leave any of my exotics on a public street, mall parking lot etc. There are too many losers out there that have no respect for other peoples property. Call it jealousy or stupidity or whatever you like but the results are the same. BTY if I caught the kid he would certainly learn the error of his ways.

Hmmm, in my case I think I'd actually chase him down and grab him / retain him if possible.

I wouldn't run him over. I wouldn't do anything truly violent but yes I would absolutely run after that guy and look for confrontation, unless I judged the situation and thought it likely he was armed. Smart or dumb, in the heat of the moment I would do that (and I'm generally a non-violent, calm person). I'd then have him wait for the cops.

Some of these comments are over the top.

Beat the kid with a sock full of pennies, or oranges?

    Really?!

Get a grip and a clue, people.

Two wrongs don't make a right, most especially when you doing wrong opens you up to both civil and criminal responsibility.

At most the kid committed a misdemeanor, he's not a fleeing felon, you can't just beat him down.

Just let the law handle it.

Obviously the perp isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer, posting his vid on instagram, where his ID can be readily ascertained.

For those who seem to feel that castration is too good for the scamp: if in fact karma's a *****, he'll get struck by a car.

With luck somebody will film and post it.

I think some of the comments were a bit tongue in cheek :)

Good chance it is a Class C felony in this case btw, not a misdemeanor. A bmx, especially with even one stone caught in the tire tread, would likely seriously scratch or otherwise damage the paint. It could also dent the roof or front hood. Paint damage alone, to get properly repaired and accounting for diminished value, is likely in the thousands of dollars (roof + front hood). A dent would add to that. There is likely intent (or perhaps intent through willful disregard) to damage a car at some level, even if no intent to damage it to $1,000+.... anyone would know that doing that stunt is likely to cause damage to at least the paint of the car...

No one here has commented on the skill of the kid, its pretty spectacular random move.

its also why you should not park your exotic amongs philisties, its either a bike or a mninivan cash parking, at the least its a door ding.

    1) When this guy goes to sell his car and someone does a Carfax etc. it will show a big number for the bodywork and new paint. Even though it could be repaired back to perfection the owner is going to take a hit financially.

    2) Sitting here I know the intelligent thing to do is just call the cops and your insurance company but if that was my car and I was there when it happened I would most likely do the stupid thing out of temporary madness and chase him down and it wouldn't be good. I wonder if a temporary insanity plea would help?

    3) If it wasn't my car and I was there I would still probably chase him down as I hate f....ing pukes like that.

Just as easily as he jumped over your supercar on a bike.

I'm better at aiming than running, that's why I voted "hire a hitman" :)

    Kind regards,

    Nuno.
