I came after this guy for his misleading "personal car" ad. And, yes it was a dumb move to try to pull in this knowledgeable crowd. However, I think he was pretty up front on this car. I don't think he could have been any more clear about what he knew about its history.

On a side note, I responded to one of his "wholesale" RITEDRIVE ads and bought a 430 from a dealer on his site. So, I guess stretching the truth a little as a used car salesman doesn't hurt business all that badly. I was calling him on carpet one minute and responding to his ad a few weeks later. :)

Its actually a great tool for a seller. If there is an accident on carfax, it can tarnish the value and/or create doubt. True Frame gives the both the buyer and seller a little more piece of mind. They actually put the vehicle on a lift and really inspect the car. I've used this company for prior purchases and watched the inspection performed. Its extensive.

Looks glorious. If it passes a PPI and accident history is priced in someone is going to be very happy with this one.

Also I would like to ad that some of the guys that give PPIs are total prima donnas. Their personal beliefs and assumptions get in the way of actually reporting on the metal in front of them. Many of them don't start from zero and look for the facts to build the case. They see one thing wrong and then the next thing you know the 2005 f430 was hit by an asteroid in the late 80s and put back together with 348 parts, plus its PROBABLY still radioactive... but the clutch is at 83%

I had a PPI on a 3.0 csi get destroyed because the car are notorious for shock tower rust due to the factory tar paper covering the engine bay. The previous owner had the engine bay taken down to baremetal, photos taken showing ZERO RUST and then repainted and added a tar paper like finish put back on. This is all posted in the ad and spoken about. The PPI guy gets it and opens the hood and says well this car is a rusty deathtrap how many times has this been repaired etc... End of PPI. instead of investigating and asking questions... where proof could be provided he just assumed that some hack job and been done when in fact nothing could be further from the truth.

That is why it is always important to not just accept any PPI. It is important to ask around and if its a ferrari ask for referrals on here. A PPI done by a great shop/mechanic is priceless.

There are gauges and frame jigs.

You can confirm it geometrically at a Ferrari Body Shop.
It would not be required if the accident was minimal of course....

Thanks for the comments and support on this one! This one passed with flying colors other than the top not working properly due to low fluid. I sold her today with the first right or refusal coming back. Stay in touch if you want this one later on.

The Ball polished wheels were an option. The wheels you have on the silver car are the standard wheel. Please let me know when and if you are interested in selling that pretty car.
    Thanks

Five years ago? See post above #72....also the seller has been banned from the site, so you would have to reach out to the dealer directly. You need to read and do research more closely my friend. ;)
