I don't have tint on any Dino.

AS much as I am used to a Dino not having a decent A/C, I have found a hand stuck up in the air or out the window, directs plenty of air flow to cool you down.

That makes you comfortable, but when you get out, plan to have lots of moisture on your clothes...

As much as I am used to being in the A/C, it has never bothered me that much.

I rarely use the AC even on hot cloudy days where the sun isn't a factor but there are times when you don't want to arrive damp.

I don't think Ferrari delivered a car with a decent A/C until the late 90's.

You just need to plan accordingly.

I think this is my favorite color in the Dino line.

I wondered about those campy wheels there...did the factory fit the larger fender flares as standard equipment when the optional wheels were ordered? Flares and wheels were a package option; you couldn't get one without the other?

Correct, wheels and flares came as a package not as stand alone options.

    Stunning!

I am surprised to only see lap belts - I thought 3 point seat belts would have mandatory by the early 70's

There are a few improvements you can make to the A/C and still have it appear factory

    - Bigger condensor, see this 1974 1975 74 75 Ferrari 246 Dino AC Condenser New | eBay
    - NOS Compressor with original form size but 40% increase in cfm flow rate
    - modern lines with O-Ring seals rather than flare fittings
    - increase A/C ventilation fan speed

Love the look with Campys and standard flairs. Really fills them out and gives the Dino a great stance. Do the Campys from Superformance still have "Campagnolo" cast into them?

Yes, I saw that. I believe those wheels were bought a while back from Superformance if they're the ones Jon bought a couple of years ago. I'm curious about their current offering.

My original 73 GT had 3 point, my original 74GTS had lap belts. Both original and both USA models.

    Freeman,

I had purchased these wheels from Superformance in about 2007, I think....

It was when they first started offering them, I think.....

I know they are definitely not new. When I brought them to Jon, they were in the original shipping boxes. I can't imagine these boxes still exist, but they would show the shipping dates.

Thanks Shawn. If anyone has gotten a set lately, it would be of interest to see if they still have Campagnolo cast onto them.

First time out in the sun and looking good! These cars are a tremendous amount of work and none of it is easy. Shawn's Dino is basically all back together now, it rides high as the engine isn't in yet. Tomorrow it goes to Speedzone to be buffed out and then the motor gets dropped in. It should be running in a couple of weeks now. Then there's the sorting period but there has been less and less with every Dino. I learn new things continually. It is suppose to take 10,000 hours to become an expert on something. I have the hours but I'm far from an expert!

Shoulder belts for outer passengers were mandated as of Jan 1 1968 by US law.
The Dino may have had an exemption.
