Not totally unrelated to this discussion... Porsche just keeps delivering industry leading track times with no factory support, no shenanigans, no extra tires, no nothing. EVO drove a 911 Turbo S to a 1:13.6 lap time at Anglesey. That's faster than anything else in its market segment and only 1.2 seconds off a 918 Spyder. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uv8z7inZKpU

Too early to say, that's why I said it's going to be a long wait. I submitted my interest hopping others will follow or already did and maybe they build it earlier than planned. If they didn't then waiting is my friend, and will enjoy the privet viewing and will enjoy watching them delivered and customers driving them on the roads. Mbn
Really. via MAuthority: Road-Going Version Of Insane McLaren P1 GTR In The Works Mclaren goes crazy loop
They building a P1 GTR for the road...really ?!! Who is the smart guy with the first idea and car Mbn
Just trying to guess the logic from Macca: If P1 GTR is the P1 for the track, so the P1 is (NOT ? ) the road-going version of P1 GTR. The road version of P1 GTR is .. a built road going version of P1 GTR. So what was the point of making the P1? Probably the Macca tries to hide/eclipse the original P1 in every possible manner. [offtopic]
Not sure I get what you are trying to say. This P1 GTR is like the road legal FXXs. Other companies turn them into road cars; nothing to do with Ferrari really. Same here.
It is a full digression but, The McLaren P1(R)(TM) is not enough . If they do conversions on the examples of P1 GTR, the car will be less of a track car, worse than original GTR on the track and probably worse to drive on the road than P1. And remember if you have got a P1 GTR, you have already got a road car - P1. Why break a track car to make something ...that way. May seem pointless in this loop having bought the P1 at first ;-). But it was the only way to do the loop ;-). P1 -> buy a GTR -> make GTR to road conversion. Probably I see too many different "models" from Macca lately. Their line up is now huge. Not exactly much differentiated.
Simple because they want a P1 GTR for the road, it's a personal choice and some company welling to do it. It's not the first race car to be converted for the road and it won't be the last. people just want something to talk about lol. Mbn
