Man, that is some super hairy, 70s ELO action. The dude playing the violin in the cape really cracked me up! T
You are channeling the Guitar Gods tonight. Add some Jimmy Page, Tom Morello and it'll be a superfecta! T
Killer. This is the only other Cracker song I've on my playlist.... You might dig it too. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OfULGl39Vxk[/ame]
Smashing Pumpkins at the beach on my headphones today. Tom , I'm gonna check out Rage Against The Machine which album ? I don't have any. I have Rise Against.
Loved the Pumpkins! Had the hots for D'arcy, when I was a single man! Evil Empire is RATM's most popular, if I had to guess. It has Bulls on Parade, which has Tom Morello's insane guitar solo. However, their debut, self titled, is my favorite as it has Killing in the Name Of; this song has my personal anthem as the chorus. Be careful, lots of cussing, if you're not into that or listening in mixed company. I'd listen to an assortment of their work on YouTube and see which you like best....T
A buddy of mine saw RATM in concert back in the day, first tour I believe, and said it was the best concert he had ever seen (and he saw Led Zep and all the biggys). It took me a few years to catch on but when I did I was very pleased and TR is very intelligent which made me appreciate his music even more (the message I guess one could say).
Arling and Cameron - Music for Imaginary Films Excellent whole album. Was first turned on to them by a Heineken commercial using Shiva's R&R Dub. Good simple funk type of something on a freaking sitar???? Yep. Great 60s-70s feel on some songs and is PERFECT in the car. Milano Cool here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vCWzIcTZWm8
I'm on a pretty long drive. When it comes to long drives, my music of choice is post rock. It gives me the ability to think my own thoughts, as most songs have no lyrics. It certainly can be some of the most relaxing and chill music to drive to. Here's an example from "Hammock" that I've been enjoying while soaking in the scenery and people around me.... Old school. Been grooving to Genius of Love by Tom Tom Club. Great song, even though I'm not sure I still know half the words....T
Endless Rivers, first two tracks. I find this, their last album seems to be a bit Marmite. I love it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0zhlu5_mcPg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6qYs5I_9D2U
