Good grief you have to hate that term GATED, what is that? They are either manual or F1. Is there a non GATED manual?
I know what you but it is a reaction to the many F1 owners who insist their cars are manuals, at least in the US. I prefer "3 pedal" myself. Dave
I have notes that it was acquired by Marshall Goldman from Auto Agent Sales LLC in Florida but they may have an association I am not sure. new clutch and service in July of 2014 and 32,279 miles at that time.
I see this as data validation, the ad in July '14 said new clutch and service so 6 months prior makes sense. Don't know what they meant by "service". I cant comment about the miles discrepancy. Typo?
So apparently this black car had it's last major in 2011, also the clutch is original. Are the upgrades this one has still justify $85-88k? I know they are listing it for $95k but they are dreaming
Well the carbon seats are worth 5-8k... carbon airboxes cost $1k, wheels worth whatever to you based on aesthetics, tubi is a couple of bucks. Doesn't seem like 95k is THAT dreamy based on the charts, stated condition, and goodies that you could unload. Want to buy it and I'll take the seats off your hands
If I buy that car I'd never sell the seats.... Seems to me that $85k is too much for this car. Who knows how the clutch is and last major 4 years ago? U looking at potentially spending another $5-8k to get her up to date. Am I wrong thinking this?
When the clutch burns then replace it. It's not a massive deal. I guess it depends on where you get your service, but unless a ppi uncovers something weird... I can't see spending 5k-8k for fluids and a belt. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Dealer in my state would be $2000 for fluids, and I would think at least $3-4k for a clutch... you're already at the bottom of that figure. Local indy is $1000 on fluids.
Seems like an attractive buy here given all that's been done to the car if the ppi comes back positive. Low optioned car but the miles being low is a bonus. Any thoughts on her? Search car listing
I wanted to start a "Sunroof 360" thread only to spot a wrecked iteration on exotic auto recycle r, so .....it may not be that rare after all.
Having just left the "searching phase" for the right car I believe this ad might be misleading in that it is a 6sp F1 and not a 6 sp 3-pedal car. Why? Great care was taken with the pics not to show either the manual stick or the F1 buttons or whatever they are called. Also the dash shot has the steering whel in focus and the F1 gear indication screen blurred. I would call and ask for a photo shot of the 6 sp stick area. Just saying!
Here are the photos. 3 pedals and a stick. In the photos of the service papers and warranty book there is a reference to F1 gearbox. Maybe the manuals are not original to the car? Automotive Excellence | Pre-owned Dealer | San Diego, California
Motorcargallery has a nice Yellow gated 360 in it's inventory if anyone is interested... I can't recall the year or asking price, but it was in great shape. car is not listed on their inventory yet either.. Homepage
Nice, so is that a low price considering that everything is up to date including new clutch and flywheel etc? The year and mile combo I've been seeing the car should be $85k minimum no? Also are those seats manual seats?
The car is missing a few options; 1) Not a full leather interior. 2) Manual Seats instead of Electric. 3) No rear or front challenge grille. 4) No factory shields. Besides, the car being 2000 year, and non Rosso Corsa, also takes away some pricing cushion the dealer may enjoy. Having said that, he may not want to come down too much from the asking price.
I think I'd prefer the manual seats. The shields I don't really mind and the grills I can swap. The full leather would be something I'd want. But for that price compared to other 3 pedals it seems like a good price
Manual seats are lighter = plus to me! Shields are your choice but you can add some and be 97% there Leather shrinks and needs lots of care so not a big deal. Challenge grills are nice, well the rear one anyway. Make sure you are up to speed on the dealership though! You can use the search function to find recent threads on the dealership and this car. I think quite a few people have looked at it but I am unsure of the findings.
the 360 looks so sharp in black... i just wouldn't want to take care of it. Wonder what the 4th left switch next to "sport" is. I thought that was usually for euro cars. Also, very few cars have a few of the more unusual leather options... so not sure what full leather means.
I have always had a soft spot for this color combo. I came across this one on Hemmings.com. Harwood Motors :: 2000 Ferrari 360 Modena - $74,900 Edit: I haven't looked there for a while but there are three gated cars, a TDF in Michigan and a yellow in Quebec.
