Yeah! Millbrook Proving Ground. Great place to test what a car can do. Had a fantastic day there and it sold me on the Cali T. The Alpine circuit is where they filmed James Bond's DBS roll in Casino Royale. Fantastic to drive it in the T

Wow, I can't wait to see photos of this. We will both be waiting to see... Do you have any details on the special paint color?
While the literal translation is black silky (or silky black), there is more to it than that. A three layer process that at a distance seems black, but up close is a midnight blue. There are some paints that seem to change color with the light. The color has been around for awhile. One of the early Cali display cars was painted Nero Setoso. As was one of the first 458's. I am hoping that this color paired with a silver narrow stripe will compliment each other.
I know Justin. Can't wait to see the pics of the pages, I am intrigued. I put as much as possible of your spec into the Configurator, this is a very well designed combination, the paint color alone would be amazing to see in person. Nice!

As most of you know in the State of Florida, we can count 5 bingo cards at one time , however the voting has always been a issue. May I ,representing the great state of Florida demand a recount !?
I think he is from TN, where the counting is done by 8's. Given most people in the hills have eight fingers and toes by the time they are ten. It would be more fun if given the 'official' list, we could find the hidden ones he missed. Highest number might get a prize, to be determined....
Yes, but I don't have them in the car at the same time. In order to keep my Cavalino Count aCCredidation, I need to be able to withstand a rigorous audit of all my counts...
Ever since I was 7 I had wanted a Ferrari and after 50 years that dream came true. Bought it at Boardwalk Ferrari after the apparently "not frequent" opportunity to buy a brand new California off the show room floor. Thought I would bypass the waiting game but not to be. My daughter talked me into waiting almost 3 weeks to fly back to Dallas and pick it up. Made the rare decision to drive it all the way back to Birmingham - 660 miles and LOVED every minute of it - except the sore cheek muscles from continuous smiling for 10 straight hours. Got past the break in in 1 day though. Now that my gorgeous white Cali 30 has passed 7,000 miles and had her 10 month birthday I love every time I get in the car. Now I find myself filling any spare minute thinking of how to get rich and actually have a collection of Ferraris. Sometimes people say I could have 2 or 3 great Lexus or Mercedes cars for what the Ferrari cost. I grin and say - Yep, all that and still would not have a Ferrari. Thank you Dave for sharing. It was over an hour and a half of solid reading and smiling. One day I may order one and get to go through the waiting game as well. At least I will have this one to drive in the meantime
SMM, I first started reading FChat about the time you first posted about Fiona. I remember being impressed that you drove it straight home. We're all a fortunate bunch to be able to have these daily experiences we can have and share with others, even indirectly with a thumbs up and a smile. There is definately a reason Ferrari is used to denote the best... ...they're the Ferrari of cars...
Broke 2,000 miles yesterday, really hitting my comfort stride now. I'm continuously itching for red stop lights to pull up to, as the 1-2 shift at 5200 rpm, and the 2-3, provide the most glorious POP when one buries the accelerator. We have low speed limits all around, so I've set the car speed limit function to 45, since much of my DD travel is on 40 mph roads. Saves me several times a day with a rapid ding-ding-ding. Even more fun as a daily driver than I imagined, especially now being in top-down weather most days. Woo hoo!
Just an observation upon reading other posts: many mention their driving distance, replacing Miles with Smiles. I completely understand the symbolic reference. 2,000 Smiles... If I were to characterize my own driving experiences in my Cali T, to correctly reflect the smiles, it would be at a drastically higher rate than one Smile per Mile. I'd have to go metric and be closer to Smile per Meter... x 2,000 x meters per mile
These are the pics of the stripes. The white car envision as dark blue/black with silver stripe. The white interior shows the wider insert effect. Image Unavailable, Please Login
