    Hello all,

    1999 F355.

A Few months ago upon startup the dash did not light up, then after a few minutes they worked. Last night while driving, the dash lights flickered and turned off, the car looks like it has the lights off (no interior buttons or gauges lighting up) and the tailights dont work, but the actual headlights are working. The foglights dont turn on ( I think the lever is faulty because the car is acting as if the parking lights are not on, hence not being able to turn on the foglights) What is the cause of this????

Just had the same thing happen to my 355. Last night the dash lights went out totally. Still have headlights, turn signals, reverse lights, but no tail lights or dashboard lights.

Checked fuses and all look OK. What should I check next??

Jiggle the column stalk while turning the lights on to see if you can make the dash lights at least flicker.

Jiggle the ignition key between positions I and II while engine is off to see if you can at least make your dash lights flicker.

I'm getting no power to 3 fuses in the luggage compartment:

    1) left tail light
    2) right tail light
    3) dashboard lights and license plate light

    What powers these 3 fuses???

Ignition key has to be on, column stalk has to be in the right position, wiring harness has to be intact and correctly plugged in, etc.

found this thread because my car had the same issues....the relay which was causing the issue is the relay in the footwell of my 348 and its marked as "external lights"
my car is a RHD car so:
its the SECOND relay from the bottom RIGHT in the footwell.... (12V 2x15A) original part number is Bosch 0332015006 and is marked with the letter "K" from factory in blue marker pen (not sure why!?)

however for LHD cars, i just figured out that the whole fuse box is installed in the reverse from my car therefore it is the Second relay from the top LEFT
