A stunning example of what used to be The Ultimate Driving Machine, the mighty BMW M5. Caring original owner seeks loving new home for one of his favorite cars of all time. This partner has been garage kept and professionally detailed multiple times each year. Excellent condition inside and out.

A customer ordered car with a 6 month lead time, this M5 was tailor-built. Finished in beautiful Silver Grey Metallic with Black Perforated Merino Leather seats and a black Alcantara headliner. Optional cost extras from the factory include: Rear side airbags, Comfort Access keyless system, Multi-function Seats with Lumbar (active bolsters to hold you tight while you enjoy the drive), Rear sunshades, Front ventilated seats, Heated rear seats, Head-up Display with M-Drive, and SIRIUS Satellite Radio.

I have personally upgraded several aspects of this M5 including: A Custom-Engineered Reus Systems Audiophile surround sound system, a front clear bra, Ceramic window tinting on all windows except the windshield, a hard-wired Valentine 1 Radar Locator, and a Blinder M20 Extreme front laser jamming system.

This outstanding example also comes complete with a second set of 18" Alloy Wheels wrapped in Dunlop Winter Snow/Ice tires creating an excellent driving car for all seasons. The original 19" staggered wheels are complete with newer Bridgestone Potenza S-04 Pole Position Max. Performance Summer Tires. This amazing vehicle is a true year-round masterpiece.

The M5 offered here has extremely low mileage at 45,684, averaging approximately 5,000 miles per year! All scheduled and advanced maintenance has been completed at a BMW Dealership, and all records are available. No scheduled maintenance is required for another 12,000 miles!

The original owner offers this excellent M5 with clear title in-hand.This M5 has no track history, and has been treated with the respect befitting a $95,000 MSRP car. The owner has a complete paper file of the car, including the original sales brochures!

Original owner, all maintenance, fully loaded, great upgrades, low mileage.
    Asking $33,995.

    Wow! A beautiful, like-new M5, with that sonorous V10, for less than a 2016 Golf R? That's great!

Looks like a really clean example. It is obvious you have really cared for the car. Good luck with the sale!

Thanks fellas. I really appreciate the outpouring of support. It's gonna be really hard to let go of this car because I love it so much. My 5 year old daughter doesn't want me to sell it because she says its the fastest car we have. She might be right about that.

Gonna be like losing a friend if/when she goes...

I've tried to care for her not because I'm always thinking about resale (like a Ferrari owner!) but because I genuinely want to "do right" by the car. She was my first car with a 6-figure investment, so that meant a lot.

    We'll see what happens!

Oh boy, I've been looking at these very closely!!!

BMW dealer basically told me I had to go through the buying process before even driving it. Walked on that one, but it had the Interlagos Blue I wanted, let me consult with my bank account, and no, I'm single. :D

Thanks for all the kind words gentlemen. If she ever leaves me, I will be truly sad to see her go. She has been an outstanding, problem free car for the past 9 years.
Truth be told, if she doesn't sell, I'd probably be ok with that too! I really love this car. Too bad I need the garage space, and having more than 2 cars is a waste for me. I tried it. One car ended up in temporary storage while I drove the othe two! Actually, it was this M5 that got the short end of the stick by sitting, while I was busy driving my Ferrari and my S Class.

She's just a great example of what, IMHO, is a truly great car. I love her so much that I'm actually advanced on her maintenance and upkeep! No question, it was throwing good money after something great.

Like the S65 in my M3 the S85 is a stout engine with only one major issue to keep an eye on. Rod bearings. BMW made them too tight in their design (10W-60 oil didn't help) and this cause many engine failures. Oil analysis from Blackstone can give the seller or buyer a "bill of health" on the bearings based of the copper and lead content in the oil (compared to their know averages from all S85s over the years). Its only 25 bucks and can save the engine. A new bearing job will cost 1-2K but is way cheaper than a new S85 V10. This engine is amazing I just wished BMW saved it for a lighter/smaller car. GLWS!

Thanks again for the commentary folks.
I've decided to keep the car for now. I'll probably still pick up another DD car, but this M5 is simply too good to let go of right now.
I'll probably drive her around in P500 Sport mode more often though!

I'm sure this is a very fine example, but to help I'd like to input just a bit of information. That same car (actually, lower miles) sold at Manheim earlier this month for $24,000. Maybe it's priced a little high?

There shouldn't be any other way. :)

Let me know if you decide to sell, not sure I'm ready now, I probably should get the car a home first.

I've got a trade in offer in hand that is higher than that. Like all sellers, I believe my car was priced according to market. There was a reasonable amount of interest in the 7 days it was for sale, but nobody got serious with numbers in that span. Thanks.
