Not light yellow, more like fly yellow., #173 is color to sample as on the window sticker.

Whatever #173 is. No one has been able, so far, to figure that number out.

 

I have a 77 930 with paint code 707- same deal a one off true paint to sample color.

Bud - don't know if it's a 1978 or 1979 but agree, awesome color and condition. It is fitted with an non-original 1980+ two-tip exhaust.

Hey Guys that's Light Green Metallic, paint code 275, offered in '78, '79. With brown leather interior it's a wonderful period correct color combo.

 

That is a killer color- there was a fairly recent 79 930 for sale in Florida that color.

Yes it is.
I bet it has more than some body work and bolt on intercooler from a LA speed shop and a loud exhaust, like a lot of "tribute" cars.

 

For sure, Kremer and just a few others had the right connections with Porsche.

I would like to know if the 3 spoke Leather steerring wheel was strandard on the 930 turbos ?

I was offered one today that it was not leather ( but was feeling like rubber ? ) and it looked original.

 

3 spoke leather steering wheel was strandard on the 3.0 and all 3.3 930's until (I believe) 1985. There was also a different leather covered optional 3 spoke "special wishes" wheel available in the '80's.

 

Underneath the leather is a rubber and not hard plastic, maybe the leather rotted off? On my car the stitching is coming on done and it would not be hard for me to find the leather completely off it if I do not do something and my car would have a rubber steering wheel also.

 

I had a sport wheel were the cover has been mostly removed - it was rubber as Fritz indicated.

Been on many folks radar so now it becomes more in focus. Long over due when you experience others in this value range.

 

Anybody know when the snorkel periscope style headlight washers finished? Have seen them on early/mid 79 models.
