My apologies for going off topic but what's with the ride height on the 288 GTO? - It looks like it's been set for a gravel stage in a rally!
nope It was a factory option , cost appr. 500,- in 1979 , listed at the offical pricelist. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I don't like it at all and didn't like it on the BB. The best looking BB I ever saw had been repainted a solid color. To me it just looks all wrong. But, as noted it's all just personal opinion. Obviously, somebody at Ferrari thought it looked ok for a few years.
My gt4 is boxer trimmed from the factory. I like it. The car appears sleeker and the black camouflages the bumpers. From a practical perspective the matte black can be touched up from rock chips etc and look acceptable. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Considering resale value only... yes if it was originally painted that way (from the factory), definitely no if not. Otherwise, do what you like. Personally I love boxer on dark grey or dark blue colors for a very exotic look, but don't care for it on the more common reds/yellows.
