A quick test drive of the LM last night sucking through the throttle bodies only (air filter system disconnected) showed a noticeable drivability improvement.

    Experimenting with cone filters now

Taffy, check out what I did with my K&N filters on L-chat
I think it will really help with your setup and its reversible.

    This configuration ?

"I have decided to try out a different approach for the air filters. To get the most air to the motor I have removed the 2 pre filters and the 3 stock rectangular filters. I then added 2 k&n cone filters where the pre filters used to be. The motor should breathe much better this way. I will keep all the stock parts so I can put it back to stock latter. Here are some pictures...."

Yes those are my pictures. This system is way less restrictive and there is no need for the pre filters unless you are racing in a desert!

Heard it belonged to a Colonel in the Libyan Amy. He will not bring it to US. But the owner also entered a 250TR replica that is in another thread

    Looks like a great show.

You should fabricate a box for the filters so they can draw in fresh (cool) air.
