View from the stand before the main race, then on the finish line after. Those bricks are the original surface from 1908. No crowds because this is just part of the month long warm up for the Indy 500. 250,000 people attend then. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
"...Previously raced at Bathurst last year by Ross Palmer and Greg Crick, the Ferrari was campaigned in two rounds of the Century Batteries Australian GT Production Car Championship this year by Chris Smith." DATE 1998-09-03
Are you saying that is the history of my car ? If so where do I get this information officially ? Thanks for the effort

Visited the Indy museum today, fabulous collection, almost all the winners since 1909, plus some interesting cars that didn't quite do it, such as Jim Clarke's '63 Lotus. They also have his '65 winning car. Plus a couple of Ferraris, a 1952 375 Indy car and the 250LM that won Le Mans in '65. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
What a fantastic trip! You might imagine the intensity is winding up, and by '500 time it will be difficult to speak to very many people... The nice part about Mr Penske is that he seems to call a spade a spade, and wont hide when things arent going well (i.e. DJRTP in V8Supercars) Its on my bucket list to be at the '500 also..
2016 is the 100th running of the 500, there will be a lot of special events during the "Month of May", including historic demonstrations. I'll be booking tickets, flights & accom at leat 6 months ahead.
82 laps with the front 3 cars on each others gearboxes, it was a masterful drive from Will Power. Rahal was amazing in the Honda engined car, he was rarely more than half a second behind yet the Honda is about 30hp down. Every lap, he braked later and later for turn 1... It's not unlike F1, Mercedes (Ilmor) vs Honda, with Ilmor having a speed advantage. The cars sound much better than F1, pity they're so ugly, which is entirely a function of safety following Dan Wheldon's horrible accident.
