About three years ago I sold all 16 volumes separately on ebay. Turned out that they sold to the same bidder. He had no issue shipping them to him by UPS too with full insurance, Tracking, Brokerage, etc... I seem to remember bidding went to about $100 each with a couple fetching a bit more or a bit less as some are harder to find than others. What is the opening bid on the set?

    Hope this Helps!

They were $75 -85 each, when new.

Like any Out of Print title. you have to look around and decide what it is worth to you.

I have not seen a full set offered in some time.
Not even sure you could build one, of new uncirculated copies.

I just realised that I never followed up TCJ's question. I paid about $1700 in the end, including shipping. The description of 'as new' was a bit of an understatement - they were all still in the original cellophane wrappers! Very happy to say I have opened them and they were worth they money IMO.

That was a steal, it seems.

Mine are "as new" as I care for them, but they ARE out of the wrappers!!!

    Hi Simon!!

Well, during The Quail, $4K USD is just "walking around money".....

Has anyone checked with T.E Warth, Albaco, or ABE Books???
That sounds pretty expensive, but then again they were never sold "all at one time", you have to go back to the dealer, every month or so (longer, maybe) and get the series title by title.

So, one could put a value on the "effort" involved!!
The price went up over time, as well.....

These three are good choices. There are several in London Pooks Motorbooks, Thomas Books etc. There are Google web sites that only lists motor books sold in Euros and another just sold in British Pounds. You can also just Google titles like Ferrari literature, collectables, memorabilia, documents or any combination of these.. My collection features only the Ferrari years 1947-1967 and only the sports and sports racing cars of the period. No open wheel cars. When selecting something like the volumes of the Cavelleria series this make things easier. Often these best sources are collections being sold off by individual volumes.Even if the volume shown is not of interest go into what else available from the same seller. I got a nice original Ferrari Year Book from 1957 from a family in Rome. One general rule I have is if the seller no matter what the location won't accept Paypal, walk a away unless you have successfully dealt with them before. tonga's crew
