Just got the car back from the paintshop and the doors don't lock properly. They sort of lock for a second and then jump back to the unlock position.

The doors won't lock if I do the following:

    Using alarm fob
    Using centre console button

However, if I use the key, both doors lock as normal.

Could this be a problem with the alarm?

    Thanks

Obviously check to make sure both doors are completely shut ( in case the paint shop removed the latch and striker plate for painting and didn't but them back correctly). After that's checked out ok, then check the wiring connector between the doors and the door sill (both sides) if everything looks good as far as corrosion, check the wires going into both sides of each plug. Very prone to breaking off here and there.

I had the same problem with mine and was down to 2 things. The door relay module or the central locking servo motor. That's the exact description given to me but not sure which of the 2 it was or could have been both.
Not sure on location but hope it's a start for your investigation.

    Cheers

    Thanks guys.

But if it still works ok via the key, would that mean the wiring is ok?

Mine did exactly the same. It worked by key only until it was fixed. The key uses no power.

I had a similar issue… I have a Spider and the door panels are a bit warped from the sun… a common issue as I understand. On my passenger side door, my door lock indicator (not sure what else to call it… the thing that pops "up and down" when you lock and unlock the door) was getting hung up on the warped door panel… it wasn't freely moving up and down when I locked and unlocked the doors. When it got stuck… whatever position it was stuck in… the car would want to default to that… so I would unlock the door… but since the passenger door lock indicator couldn't move up freely and was stuck in the lock position… the car automatically and relentlessly locked the doors… and it almost seemed like there was a short in the door lock system… Once I allowed the door lock indicator to pop up and down freely when I pressed the lock/unlock button my problems went away.
