I've had the car up on ebay before, and I dunno if ebay is that great of a marketplace any longer. I've sold a few cars on ebay, only one was a smooth transaction, but it's a good place to get the word out as you say - not so much to actually sell it. I've had a few offers at $40K here - just a tad under asking F-chat is a starting point, because I already had a membership - ha!

Red t1. Sold at Artcuriel today for €103,000. Not that clean with previous work on it.

Unfortunately fleabay still gets the most eyeballs. BAT gets a ton of looks also but I don't think the site was intended to sell something as nice as this-

 

Registration in California is close to impossible now, unless the car had previous registration here.

My friend just bought some NOS and repro grille parts to replace some of the less than perfect ones. There was a missing grille on the NACA duct on the driver's side, I think he just got it.

These are fun cars to drive - a bit intimidating but fun.

I had a friend who had one when I was living in Switzerland... As Crazy studetns - we had an un fortunate altercation with Les Flic... local police in Vevey .... doing 210KPH in a 120.... and perhaps we had a bit to much beer???? anyway he had the car less than 2 months... they impounded the car, his parents took it back to Belgium.. and sold it at a huge loss...
but fun car on thight roads -its a blast...!!!!!!!!

This car is currently getting a full detail, and a few trim items are being replaced. It's still for sale, and has had some recent mechanical work done as well.

The black one listed here just sold for $72K USD, it had over three times as many kilometers as this car.

This thing is quite rare, and I bet you'd be the only one on the block with one if you buy it

i sold both my RS2 and Delta EVO off there.

kijiji never hurts either, sold my Mustang from there.

Since this is over 25 years old it can easily go to the US, so the $200 to list as a Bring a trailer auction would be well worth it

If all that fails i'll take it for 45 at least it will stay local

 

Do not know what to say, besides Paul placing a ton of ad's. You name it he placed it. But it ended selling due to Ebay. SO that might be the place for you. Should of already sold at your price, so something must be wrong.

 

I put my car on ebay and carsandclassic.co.uk (free), Also on Porsche, Ford GT, and Ferrari forums. It was then picked up by Bringatrailer, boldride, motorgems, yahoo, and (after it sold) carscoops.

Clearly my car was seen by at least 1000 times, and probably 10,000 times, as many folks as have seen this single listing for the red one on this one single, small readership, site.

 

yeah... it hasn't been marketed very well! Neither me or my friend have any time right now but he'll have to get on it if he wants to sell it.

 

Don't worry , your not losing any money the longer you wait.

 

Near-future market value and your friend's price will reach equilibrium very soon. He just has to be patient.
