This guy is a piece of work. Even more egotistical than a fellow I knew of in Chicago who ran a Ponzi scheme which sucked in a few of my friends. If somebody stole six figures from me, I wouldn't feel bad at all about calling their spouse at work on a regular basis to remind them they aren't going to get away with it, and that they are both going to end up in jail. Just to make their evening dinner conversation more animated. I mean, that's just me. I wouldn't ever suggest others do the same, since I'm pretty sure that's frowned upon / possibly illegal. Not as illegal as running a ponzi investment scam, but still not fully on the up and up.
