Well, it's more what I would like to see, rather than what is likely to happen.

True, but a few times the fault was with the Ferrari crew and had nothing to do with Kimi.

I think he can still deliver, but like Button, Kimi waits for the right opportunity to pounce and will not attack needlessly if there is no chance.

I think Kimi still enjoy driving in his own way.

Like Berger and so many second rate drivers. And yes this is why they are not top flight drivers. Those great drivers like MS turn a race in to theirs.

How's that bet going by the way? :)

I was as happy as anyone when Kimi signed for Ferrari but the truth is his performance has been a massive disappointment.

What makes it worse is his "I don't give a ****" attitude.
That might be vaguely amusing in a juvenile way if he was wiping the floor with everyone else (and especially his team-mate), but when he's having his own pants pulled down repeatedly it's nothing but pathetic.

As a Ferrari fan first and foremost I can't wait to see the back of him.

It has never occured to you that this attitude is maybe just a facade to hide his frustration sometime?
I have a son who behaves the same; apparently cool and unphased from the outside, but very sensitive and tense inside.
Kimi, I think, has also adopted that defense because he doesn't deal very well with the media.
Kimi has been many time let down by his team (at McLaren, at Lotus and now at Ferrari) making the wrong call. So what should he do? Burst into tears, explode into expletives, or just pretends it doesn't matter.
I noticed that he still can give honest explanations without blaming his employer; that's not bad.

I'm sorry, my cat during one of her many naps has more motivation than Kimi, and she is not being paid! ...

Used to think he was awesome until I watched him constantly give in. He looked awesome again when he returned in the Lotus because he was motivated and was trying to prove he still had it. Why can't he understand that is how he should perform every single time he sits in the worlds most expensive race car!!!

Yes, and Lotus didn't pay him. Maybe that's what SF should do! Lol

Apart from his bad quali at Spain, he's been right on the heels of Vettel most of the time.

Truth is Kimi was an amazinh qualifier back in the day when he was at Mclaren....i actualy think he lost something in that department...in terms of race speed he's still top notch

Only sometimes. If he sees no chance to get to the top, he seems to give up too easily these days.

Still an experienced driver, but more a journeyman than a star, a bit like Button in that respect.

It's a shame that he's lost the fire from his early days! I wouldn't be surprised if both aren't on the grid in 2016 due to their high
salaries and a number of younger drivers entering the scene.

At least Button still looks like he's trying.

I don't recall him saying "do I need to be out here? I'm not getting anything out of this" during practice. Only to be comprehensively towelled by his team mate (again) who did see the point of staying out.

    Same attitude as always.

Same attitude he won the world championship for Ferrari with...

    Already a podium this year.

    Creating harmony within the team.

    11th? to 4th w a full lap puncture.

I think he has already showed you his backside actually.

    Thank you, Mrs. Raikkonen.

How is he going compared to his team-mate who is driving the same car and is in his first year at Ferrari?

Right behind him. 4th place currently. Considering 2 of the 3 above him are multiple world champs, it's hardly pathetic.

It really was a fluke. Without McLarengate, Ferrari would have been trounced.
People seem to not understand that there are really only ever 4 competitive cars on any grid with F1 ... of course he has podiumed.

RedBull and Torro Rosso are stuffed because Renault thought they were asked to design a tractor engine. McLaren are developing a new power plant. All the other cars are simply off the pace.
    Maybe.
See my reply above to "Already a podium this year"
In the end, any sports fan wants to see their team give it their all. Kimi disappoints because of his ***** attitude. He has a job that many hundreds of people and all posters on this site would consider swapping their penis for and he has the nerve to say things like: "Why am I out here ... "

Personally I'd rather see some emotion, some frustration.

    Speak for yourself!
I never had any ambition of being a F1 driver; it never even crossed my mind.

It's much better to be a Ron Dennis, or a Dietrich Mateschitz or Toto Wolff than being Vettel, or Hamilton or Alonso; to me anyway. I never fancied myself as a gladiator either ...

As for Kimi, I like his coolness; it's very Scandinavian.I like the way he treats the media and unbalance interviewers sometimes. No outside display of emotion, no histrionics, no tantrums, just calm and assurance. He does it better than us Brits with our stiff upper lip.

Like I said earlier, Kimi is a good #2 driver. He's obviously no longer a great driver, but as a solid #2 to Seb, there's not much more you could ask for. The only wrench in the works is his salary. He's probably being paid too much.

For all the talk of Kimi's "coolness" he always seems quite strained and stressed/whiny on the radio frequently. I can never recall Michael or Mika (true Iceman, IMO) sounding the same...

The number two at Ferrari is there to win constructor points. Kimi could be doing better.

Are you sure he is that good anymore? The guy has no one lap speed. He will always qualify in a mediocre spot. He's good in the race though. Maybe he's lost a bit of his edge? He's in his mid 30s now, and not everyone can be MS/Alonso

He's scoring points. Whether he's scoring enough consistently is the question.
