At his peak he was one of the best racers, unrelenting. He is just too inconsistent and a tick too slow these days. I always like to see him do well and would like to see him win a few this year.

Now with a solid driver in Vettel, I'm neutral on Kimi continuing with Ferrari.

I like the setup of an old hand, and an raw young talent. Seb, while still young, can play the former part, allowing the hire of the latter to replace Kimi. I definitely enjoy having Kimi in the sport though. He's a no bull persona.

Agreed. I'd love to see Seb joined by Ricciardo at Ferrari.

    Oh, wait a minute.... :)

And what would happen if they meet in a car that also suits Vettels needs? Let´s pretend for a second he might be faster than Ricciardo, that would destroy the whole argumentation of those pretending his 4 WDC were pure luck and that last year showed his true value ;)

Ricco hasn't earned the right to drive for ferrari yet. Vettel leaves and red bull regress. I don't think that's a coincidence.

    I agree. McLaren were losers.

I agree. He is in 4th place which is where he should be with the car.

You don't seem to know about Fins. Kimi is an extreme case. If his behavior is good enough for Ferrari, I don't see how it affects you.

Ah well everyone is different. I think it's refreshing to hear an honest opinion even if not delivered eloquently. Plus you have him all wrong. He looked pissed during his first podium because he wanted to win.

Yes, it would destroy the whole argument. The only problem is that we will probably never see it. I think Ricciardo was a wake up call for Vettel. Ricciardo never won anything in F1(pre 2014) and Vettel thought he would have it easy. Vettel will never allow somebody like Alonso or Hamilton on his team.
Here is what Bernie said about Hamilton to Ferrari: “He wouldn’t have a problem with it but I don’t think Sebastian would like it.”

It's not unusual for successful drivers to object to the presence of someone they could see as a rival by their team.

I think Mansell did something like that about De Angelis whose contract with Lotus was not renewed

Didn't Senna himself blocked Derek Warwick from being recruited at Lotus, didn't he?
Lotus took Johny Dumfries instead; he was no threat to the Brazilian.

And Alain Prost apparently made it a clause in his contract with Williams in 1993 that Senna shouldn't be recruited in the team.

It maybe that Vettel wouldn't like to be in the same team as Ricciardo again.
Is that substanciated, or is it just Bernie stiring the **** ? That's what we should know.

How do you know??? Did you see his contract?
Bernie said a lot of things in his life, not everything should be taken serious...and I doubt that Bernie can talk for anybody but Bernie...

Bernie says a lot of silly things because he knows some folk hang on his every word.
