Ditto. Still not raining much towards the west, especially the triangle defined by I-10/20/35, or around the bend in the Panhandle, where it is most neededÂ….T

Talk about rain, Houston had between 9-10" of rain last night. Extensive flooding reported,
(as usual) hope everyone stays safe.

    Yep .org

Dave - it's been interesting, the last month or so. Before that, it was downright scary how low almost all the Texas reservoirs were, with perhaps the exception of those in the most extreme eastern part of TX, over the five years or so of this drought. It's a good site for all Texans to check from time to time, if nothing else to remind ourselves that we should do our best to conserve water....T

So, is Lake Ray Roberts, which is also in the Trinity River Basin. Took an attitude-readjustment spin up there yesterday AM, and it's the best I can recall it looking in years. Oddly, less than an hour west, Bridgeport, which is fed by the Trinity as well, is sitting at 60%, albeit up from 38% a month ago....T

We got fantastic rain last night here in San Angelo. The numbers below mean we might be able to put boats in at OC Fisher, something that has not been possible for a very long time, and there might be good fishing in Twin Buttes. Nasworthy is constant level so it only went up a foot before it started spilling over toward Ivie. The farmers between Nasworthy and Ivie have rights to it if they can make use of it before it gets there, but it's probably moving too fast for them to grab much of it.

That's good news. Fisher & Twin Buttes seem to be the most piteously short of water...T

My Sunday jaunt took me up by Lake Amon Carter, and it looked they were letting water out over the spillway. Bridgeport is up to 85% from 60% a week ago and 38% a month ago...T

This is my next door neighbors new boathouse. Built about 18 months ago to house his nice 24' boat. He hasn't been able to put the boat in because the water was too low. The orange buoy to the right is tied to an anchor, he'd tie the boat off there because the water wasnt deep enough in the boat house to float the boat over his cradle.

I asked him yesterday why he hasn't put the boat in the slip. He says now the water is too high, with his wakeboard arch he can't get the boat far enough out of water to protect it from the waves if a storm kicks up, and he's afraid it'll get loose.

    First world problems....

My sister and her husband were evacuated Thursday in Wichita Falls. Apparently will be able to go home tonight if the power is back.

Hard to believe that it was so recent that WF was so hard up for water that they were talking about reclaiming wastewater. Last time wife and I drove through that neck of the woods, we saw numerous Pray For Rain signs on people's lawns in WF and down the road in Seymour... T

We stayed at some nice, 30s-era cabins on the Blanco in Wimberly last October. It was a really nice, quiet spot on the Blanco where Cypress Creek flows into the river. Unfortunately, it looks like those cabins and grounds have been hit pretty hard. :(
