My car has started to leak around the pressed connection from the pipes going into the muffler. White dust is around two of the connections, so I think it's time to have the pipes welded.
The muffler itself isn't magnetic, so I assume it's stainless steel?
The four pipes going into it are magnetic, so I assume plain steel?
I would think the best way to weld it would be to TIG weld it with stainless wire?

The headers were changed before I bought the car, so I'm not concerned with them at this point.

Thanks for the clarification on the steel types.

I had mine welded 2 years ago and it's been dust and problem free.

Steel and stainless steel can be TIG welded together with stainless steel welding rod.
The OEM exhaust system leaves a lot to be desired, poor design, etc...

    Good Luck getting this fixed.

    Thank you guys!

I'll take the muffler off and get it welded.

Tally Ho, the Fabspeed looks sweet on there!
