unfortunately i sold my 911 cabrio...

    ;)

I really like this yellow GTS turbo, even if I prefer to put money on the GTB turbo (that is more pleasant to drive as well, IMHO)

    ciao

Yes, mine turbo cars. There is also the 328 GTS. Too many cars, I will keep just two: the carbed and another one

    Ciao

Edit. And then I have to be honest, when a car is fully restored, shining and perfect, I always sell it, as the game ended. I did that with my Lambo, I did the same with my three Porsche, it will be the same with my Ferrari. I always need new toys to play with.

    Ciao

Yes, you are right. The very first 208 GTB/GTS turbo model, even if is not the best, is really a car that drives me crazy for its beauty. And the Turbo intercooler not much less.

After meeting You, Alberto, now I can understand your special love to the intercooler models. Your particular cars are PERFECT, definitely better than new. And now YOU can understand my special love to the early turbo models, even if they do not drive as perfect as the intercoolers. But ... who needs a perfect driving car, when he loves the sharp lines and the fine shape of a "not-so-good-driving" car ?

BTW: Warm Congrats to your GTS's new GTB brother. Now we both got the ultimate twins ;-)

Thank you again for your efforts of helping me to get the right 208 turbo GTB !

You guys are nuts...Alberto, you just explained to us in another topic about a 328 GTS with frontal damage that buying a car in need of reparations is truly a bad idea!

I didn't tell you what my offer will be yet!

I have many cars, i can buy it as a spare car (and an engine at 15 k is not bad, a major engine damage requires 20 k to fix it)

    Alberto,

I truly admire you; no, really I do! You should buy a factory...

    Ciao,

I think I won't win the auction for that "car": I expect that some of the many Ferrari mechanic shops here around will do an higher offer, as that car has a bigger value for a shop.

coming back to topic, the average asking price for a turbo intercooler GTB/GTS now is 80-90 k euro (seen at Verona Classic car fair two weeks ago): mint low mileage cars even more...

Here you are the buying prices in Euro of the four turbo intercooler I got last year: 35 k (mint single owner GTB with 36000 km, required just a standard service), 33,5 K ('89 GTB ABS with 10 k euro of works to do), 33 K (excellent single owner GTS with 51000 km, required just a standard service), 47 k (stunning M.Y. 89 GTB ABS with 24000 km already serviced).

    ciao

    Thanks, but...??

    Does that mean:
    - "original tyres from 27 years ago not very much used"
    - "recent new tyres not much used"

This is just for my own understanding: I do not intend to buy a "Turbo"; I already have a 328 GTB and a 328 GTS, that's enough...

    Rgds

"Gomme seminuove" means exactly "tires not much weared".

With 97,7 k euro last year you could buy three of that model.

The other actual price explosion is for 82-85 208 turbo: skipped from 25-30k to 60-80k in one year.

    ciao

I've just returned to looking for a 208GTB Intercooler. Found a beautiful car 2 years back at at "Maranello Service" for 32k Euro. Something else came up so i had to pass, damn shame.

There was a 12300 km example @ 117,000 Euro a few months back going in Modena with Classiche certificate.

Quite a shock to see the prices go so high so quickly, but the whole classic scene went into overdrive with asking prices late 2013. I wonder exactly what prompted it as it was virtually overnight and applies to all brands...

    .....and Alberto was RIGHT

the intercooler turbo is one of best and more fun of the all 208-308-328 series if not the best

drove one for a day and is fantastic!
