The 355 is going up in value and it's a progression. Some people saw the 550s & TRs double in price so rapidly that they are trying to artificially get the 355 into that accelerated increase and it's just not there.

I have no doubt that the 355 will hit 6 digits within a few short years but OP is right...let's calm down, at least for the moment.

Interesting...had I posted my experience on here and you responded I likely would have called back and asked for him- I was ready to buy as I wanted a yellow 355 spider in my garage by the end of winter/before I started my new job- I knew I wouldn't have as much time to look for a car when work kicked in and I wanted to have a car ready to go by the spring (I sold my 360 in the fall of 2014 and was going through Ferrari withdrawl). That's why I say they would have had an easy sale presuming the car checked out and we could make a deal!

I won't badmouth the individual salesman I spoke to- it was frankly a turnoff of the entire dealership in my mind (and as I learned in customer service training class in my first job out of college, bad word/experiences flow through people's contacts a lot more and faster the positive word/experiences, although I do try to focus on the positive and have steered dozens of people at the car meet I regurly attend to great dealers, mechanics and parts suppliers...) I guess my focus on positive is why I didn't post my negative exprience on here right after it happened....I guess what spurred me to respond to this thread about dealers marking up the cars so much (be it ferrari's or air-cooled 911s) was that the dealer was named as an example.

I agree with you guys regarding the F355 price hysteria. In fact, I don't think that Marshall Goodman Fiorano is worth a penny more than $255K!! :)

    Flame suit on!!!!

I think that this thread is spot on in so many ways but I am highly amused that we have had 4 references to Marshall Goldman 4 different names for them. Only the OP got it right. Too funny.

I just had a long chat with my buddy last night who owns several F-cars and also a white manual berlinetta 355. He bought into the "hype" and recently picked-up a Rosso Corsa Testarossa. He had high expectations for the car and feels dissapointed in how it feels and drives. He said the 355 is the best Ferrari he's ever driven as far as feel and sound. The 355 exceeded his expectations and gave him a much more rewarding experience than the Testarossa or his 993 Turbo. To put it in simple street terms, he described the 355 driving experience as "dope." Current F-Cars in his stable ... Scuderia, 575, Testarossa, 355.

Well, the bottom line good news is that the 355 is, at last/again getting the credit it deserves as a great driving machine. The high maintenance is still offset by the relatively low cost of the cars.

More importantly, there's more people that grew up as teenagers drooling over the 355 that can now afford to own one.

I would love to see pics of a white gated berlinetta. I don't think I've seen one besides a GTS.

I dont have pics, but there's a youtube video.

    http://youtu.be/LfjAMhIv5nc

Has 19 inch BBS LM wheels. I was speaking to Yassa over the phone the other day and he mentioned BBS LMs dont come in 19s for 5x108 (only 18s). I know my buddy has them so I asked him last night if he did anything special. He said the LMs come in 5x112 and its close enough to a 5x108 you can use 1 special bolt per wheel to mount it. Ive never heard of such a thing, but he did it.

Im just tired of the 355 values threads, there needs to be more threads about DIY, how this and that works, what I did to my 355 today. All of this price analyzing garbage gets old, I own many other cars like all of you and this is by far the worst forum for people caring about what their cars are worth. I enjoy being on here and I've met some great people through the forum but the value threads are a pet peeve.

I'm pretty sure everyone on this forum will die one day so enjoy your Ferrari and drive the piss out of it :)

Cool...I'll have to look into that wobble bolt when I upgrade to 19s. 5x112 is much more common (and rims are much cheaper) then trying to find 19s in 5x108.

You know what the worst part about prices going nuts? Less and less people will be able to enjoy them. And some of us that where lucky enough to buy at sane prices may be kicked right out. Insurance costs and parts costs get higher and higher when price tags ballon!
