Pretty much what he just said in the interview; "Never got into a rhythm on my last run.

Congrats to LH - Very, very nice lap.

I liked how the commentators were talking about red bull. Relax!!!! Monaco is not the track to test the cars. They happened to qualify a little better here but that doesn't mean anything.

Thinking more about Ferrari, maybe it's more about Seb's resourcefulness and not Kimi fouling things up. The Ferrari is easy on tires, so cold temps is not ideal for its performance (as Seb said in the presser). Grip had to suck for the Scuderia.

Kimi's qualifying hasn't been great this season, but his fastest time of the weekend was in Q3. Seb just improved a LOT more and was the only non-Merc in the 1:15's

    Brilliant pole by Lewis...

HAMILTON: "Not even half the job is done. It'll be mentally and physically challenging but I'm looking forward to it"

If he nails the start, doesn't make a mistake, doesn't get screwed over by the safety car or a poor pit stop or reliability and it doesn't rain, he's got it in the bag. lol

He's got nothing to worry about.

Their both impressive, but a dissapointing Quali for Verstappen for sure, Sainz got it (more) right in the end when it mattered. Verstappen was the faster driver all weekend though.

Looked like Verstappen was caugth up in traffic in the final stages of Q, seems he couldn't get a full final 2nd qualifying lap round, where Sainz did.

.......but will the race be as exciting as qualifying was? If Lewis can stay in the front for the first few laps,,its his, as long as he doesn't do a Senna. But mentally he seems in a better place the last two seasons.

    Oops!......

I've always wondered if "they" (anyone who ignores the order) were running underweight in such situations? There's only a pretty slim chance of getting weighed in any session, and I suspect if you've been weighed earlier in the meeting (don't know if he was?) you're more likely to be ignored later, hence the temptation to put it on a little diet....... Given their sensitivity to weight, I'm 99% sure it's been done on occasion.

A few do get caught every year, more for ignoring the order than actually being underweight, but it's pretty rare either way.

    Cheers,
    Ian

Lewis did his job. When it mattered Ros let his braking Achilles heal out.

Vettel great job as did the 2 TR kids

Mclaren hopeless as usual. Still not making enough progress.

Ted's Notebook - Bottas will stay at Williams as they dont want to buy him out(Ferrari), and Arrivabene will extend Kimi for 2016. Ferrari like the harmony he brings and keeps Vettel's 'primacy' in the team. So #1 is Vettel inference id say.

Motivation and confidence are critical for Monaco like no other track. Kimi was, what, half a second slower than Seb ?
I think thats a sign of bigger things.

Bottas is proving himself to be useless so Ferrari will never take up his services. Hulk should find another sport, embarrassing ...

Good to see Rici being the fastest RB.

Tomorrow there is an hope to have a thrilling race just if it is going to rain. In that case Monaco can became a real mess giving an opportunity to the best pilots to come out.

Ricciardo shall be happy to have still a Renault engine able to race and not blowing up.
