Have been collecting bbr since 1986 and planning has allways been a mystery... Don't worry, and don't be impatient, in the end they will make what they announce, but it can take years, and in some times decades....
I'm hoping that if this production of the FXX K is considered a financial success for BBR they will offer it in other color configurations to coincide with the public unveilings of the 32 FXX K's by their owners this year. I would love to have one in TDF Blue. Does anyone think this will ever happen?
I'm sure once they get the model in production you'll seem them release a jillion different versions. Sure, each version/edition is a relatively small run, but ultimately, they're going to make thousands across the variants. Too expensive to tool/produce not to, I bet.
Speaking of when they get the model in production... aren't they supposed to ship this month? Anyone...?
I'm starting to see them showing up on ebay... which kind of pisses me off, to be honest. This is the first time I've ordered directly from BBR - figured I'd go that route instead of a 3rd party/reseller. Have been underwhelmed thus far.
@nopassn I don't blame you for feeling that way but I have bought several models from BBR directly and found them to be one of the cheapest options. I am getting the deluxe version of the FXXK with display case for less than 300 euros before shipping. The model site retailers and ebay re-sellers wanted $500 or more. They clearly have released this one earlier to other parts of the world outside the US due to it's popularity. I hope ultimately you will feel like you made the right choice even if you had to wait a little longer than others.
Yeah, price was unbeatable - I ordered the version sans-display, since I display all my 1:18's in wall-mounted cases. FWIW - I just got an email from BBR that said the FXX K is/will be shipping by June 10th.
I have had this on pre-order since the day it was announced in December and other than the initial pre-order confirmation have not heard anything since that. WTH? And this is the 3rd one I have bought from them. WTF? I guess it's my turn to be pissed off. Please post pictures when you get yours.
I too also pre-ordered this model the day it was offered back in December and what I experienced over the years with BBR is that you have to develop patiences with them Eventually we all will get our stuff.
Agreed... the way they handle pre-orders is a bit strange, too. FWIW, I also pre-ordered the day it was announced/offered.
BBR operates kinda like Ferrari's operating principals… hurry up and place your order and then wait… oh 6-10 months to receive your "model car"!!!

Has anyone received their FXX-K with display case? I am still being told " not in stock, sorry" by BBR 3 weeks after the release date of 5/30. I guess I should not have asked Barbara at BBR customer service all those questions about my order. I have apparently been demoted to the bottom of the priority list for doing so.

I finally got an email that my car is in stock with deliveries starting on 7/10. I have 20 days from today to purchase it. Now that the Greeks have voted no on their referendum I think I am going to wait and see what effect it might have on the Euro. I would like to get my cost down closer to $297 before shipping instead of the current 297 Euros. What's another 3-4 weeks when I have already waited 7 months. Can anyone tell me what the current US shipping charge is?
