I dug though some boxes and found the rest of what I had. Anything here really good?

I need some assistances identifying a specific F40 hard cover book that I found at my local library several years ago but for some reason I can remember what the front cover of the book look like... The majority of the contact show the F40 being built in the factory and this book was thick, a minimum of 100 pages at best... And eventually I would like to find a copy. Can someone identify and post a picture of the cover pls?

Are you sure it was specifically an F40 book? The closest I can think of immediately is Inside Ferrari by Michael Dregni (Inside Ferrari: Michael Dregni: 9780879384296: Amazon.com: Books) which has a lot of F40 production pictures but is not specifically about the F40 but rather the Ferrari factory and production lines.

Thanks Jonathan for the response back and posting the cover of the book. I wasn't sure what car was on the front cover and if the book was strictly based on the F40 model but now after seeing the front cover its jogging my memory and which now I'm convenced it's the book Im after. Thanks again for your help.

In 1999 they tried to start this (UK-based) magazine. After the Launch-edition a number one was published. After those two magazines it disappeared. Today these two magazines are hard, almost impossible to find. I've only one (launch-issue) and have been searching for many years now for issue one...

Thanks, Ryan. I'm trying to find a paper copy for something less than the ridiculous $800 that Amazon vendors' robo pricing is asking.

 

#1 The Complete Ferrari" by Godfrey Eaton;Cadogan Books Ltd;1986. This is the 1989 edition from Motorbooks Intl.; 376 pages;hard back; Lots of great pictures and more basic information between two covers for the period 1946-1985 than almost any other single volume. Don't try to get all this under your belt. It covers just about every open wheel,sports and touring car of the period with the basic statistics of each model and one picture of each.This is what could be called the "Big Picture" but with just the very basic of details.Like most of us we limit our field of interest to a time period and a carefully selected groups of cars in that time period. This will by definition lead the collector to be more selective in there collecting. #2"The Road Cars" by Keith Blumel; Sutton Pub.;1988; soft back edition 2000; 144 pages covering the period 1946-1999. A nice picture book and that's about it.#3 Dino The Little Ferrari 1957-1979 by Doug Nye;318 pages. One thing for sure you will be overwhelmed by the extent of the research that went into creating this tome. It covers the basic statistics and competition successes and failures of both the open wheel and road cars from the first mid engine 156/57 formula cars thru the mid and front engine sports racing and hill climb machines. to the later F1 cars and up thru the various V6 and V8 road cars to the 308 GTC.If this is something you want there is nothing better out there in one volume. Wow that is cool I built 1/43 cars professionally for years and they were my favorite. I sold a whole bunch of unfinished models in the last few years. It was tedious work and it seems the others can do better.......... I figured out I made about $1 an hour on a 100 hour car....

Funny, I also think about many of the AMR's I used to have. There were some great ones.

 

Last year I got in contact with a collector that offered his models.. Every amr model built 4 times by a private builder..

Amazing collection, better than factorybuilt models.
Bought several, and will be meeting him in september for more...
