    I noticed the N number on the panel, N814K and I don't think that would be a DC-8. Since I'm not familiar with the Big Oil Burners, I'll leave it to you guys.

    Love that center cluster of 16 gauges. Reminds me of the classic 747. As you added takeoff power you could actually hear the gauges winding up

    I doubt that relict is still registered. You can tell by the yokes, thrust levers, and window arrangement.

    Jetstar is correct. Goolgle reports it as: Aircraft was picked clean of usable parts and then cut up for scrap February/March 2015.
    This one is one I flew quite a bit in my formative years-suffers the same fate as the Jetstar. No one will ever guess this one so I will tell you, a Canadair CL44

    If that's a Pratt-powered JetStar, then there probably aren't many left flying. There are certainly 731 JetStars flying-- I saw one just the other day. Really cool airplane!

    I was actually thinking about guessing Bristol Brittania, which I suppose would've been technically correct.

    Good guess-the CL44 is sort of a stretched Brittania with RR Tyne engines and the "swing tail'. Pretty unusual, but very capable airplane. Always got us home-every time.

    It was interesting that when Canadair turned the Britannia/CL-44 into a maritime patrol aircraft - the Argus - they discarded the turboprops and returned to piston engines!

    I read that was because the piston engines got much better fuel mileage and they needed the longer loiter time.

    Commander looks so cool. I flew a Brasilia for a few years. It also has the ram yoke.

    One of the best flying planes! My first glass cockpit.

    Hard to tell, but isn't the G4 the one with the backwards airspeed tape?

    Yep, 7GCAA. We took the gyros out, since they didn't work anyway. Someday, I might put an Aspen in if I decide I want gyros, but given that it is "Day and Night VFR only" (per the type certificate), I don't think that's likely.

    I will need to update the GPS and transponder to take care of ADS-B, probably with a Garmin GTN 600-series unit.

    Oh, I see 145 on the panel. So radio tuning under standby ADI?

    I'm so used to radios being on pedestal.
