Amazing car. Absolutely stunning
Probably a simple question, probably not: has there ever been an original 250 GTO in yellow? Even for just one race or so? I came across this picture: https://www.flickr.com/photos/howiendlynne/12474294883/sizes/l but I somwhat doubt it is an original. Then again, here is a model car: https://www.alexreade.net/acatalog/1_43_1965_Ferrari_250_GTO__11_Nurburgring_by_Remember.html Nurburgring Marathon 1965. Any thoughts, info, chassis number? as far as I know there is none in yellow today, right? Thanks in advance!
Sweet Jesus... this is my holy grail car... this one... 4219... ever since the article in Forza about it so many years ago, I have wanted THIS car more than any other on the planet. Also my wife's favorite car, but she'd be happy with any GTO. Dear lord... I've been lucky enough to see this one in person in Maranello and it delivers. Brandon... please adopt me... please.

Noticed these shots from John so thought we'd add a point of view shot from 3767 being raced at Goodwood by Jo Bamford in 2012. The full lap is in Doug Nye's new enhanced eBook: http://bit.ly/1w7MiJj We'll try and add some video here later. Image Unavailable, Please Login

Agree and unlike a lot of cars, where people get excited about patina, it does not need a paint job or restoration because it really is f'ed as it has not been looked after for the last 20 years. This car obviously has been looked after, maintained and washed when required . Love it. Pete
Do you have a link to the pictures? I've looked at the website in the lower right corner, but couldn't find these pictures there. Thanks.
From the book "I Love GTO" celebrating the 20th anniversary of the GTO in 1982, Violati said: "I had the vehicle refitted in 1967 and again in 1979, because I wanted to do some serious racing and I took it to Modena to have the cylinder heads attended to...." I don't exactly know what he meant by "refitted" or to what extent the work was done.
Talking about GTO, here is a nice in car video with Nicky Pastorelli in a stunning 1964 Ferrari 250 GTO as he takes it flat out in the Graham Hill Trophy. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=07tl0LdN6uM[/ame]
