Oh font of all knowledge that is Fchat --

Any recommendations for a decent knee doc on the north side of DFW, preferably near Denton/Lewisville/Carrollton? Trying to choose from a list provided by the insurance company (United HealthCare) is an exercise in futility. Everyone's website says exactly the same thing, and they're -all- the best (just ask them!) :) :)

You might PM ByeEnzo - he is one, I believe located in west Ft. Worth. But he may have thoughts about others in the area you prefer.

Not near north side of Dallas, but our friend who plays roller hockey, and has injured just about every joint in her body, recommended Steve Meyers at Texas Bone & Joint in FW. He doesn't do surgery but others in his practice do. Hope everything works out...T

Check out Dr. Alex Glogau in Plano. He has replaced both of my knees and they are great. He is the orthopedic doctor for the Plano athletic department.

A friend of mine, Donnie Buford, did my shoulder surgery a few years back. His office is near Baylor downtown but I had my surgery performed near Love Field and my rehab in Carrollton. He specializes in shoulder and knee surgery. Not sure if he is in United's network but you should check him out.

    Tillman,
To me the best in Dallas are at the Carrell Clinic, on 75 at Park Lane.

Get with Paul Peters, or Richard Schubert (who just did my brother and sister's knees at 71 and 68 yrs old. They have their own surgery center there as well. Both are great guys and highly regarded surgeons.

Those are crap and misleading. I'm glad you believe everything you read on the "Webb".
