    Your's were rotted out?

When I first got my car I painted those and all the interior frames section in the engine compartment with a pipe painting attachment for my spray gun. I used Por15 to coat all the interiors of the frame I could reach. As you know the factory did bupkis to protect any of this.

The car is built like a Sherman tank though. Very strong.

    Hi Darryl,

Old lady! :D I hope she's been treating you better lately?

No Pocono event this year :( so I'm going to the Pittsburgh Vintage GP hopefully with my 84 Biturbo but all of my cars are giving fits at the moment even my daily driver! My AC leaked out after last years complete overhaul ... :( so hopefully I can find that before the event.

Typically, Pittsburgh is hot at that time of year. The Italian concours field has an air conditioned retreat/lunch spot as I've been informed.

Very cute! I love taking my kids around in my cars and they like it too. Makes the whole old car thing much more enjoyable.

    Bob,

It's DEAN not Darryl.... I know it's been awhile!

Bora #510 "The Old Lady" has been pretty good, running strong and sounding good! It's ashame about Le Belle Macchina, we were really looking forward to that weekend. I cannot make it to Pittsburgh, any other good somewhat local events this summer or fall worth attending?

Oh my bad bad bad ... I've been conversing with a Darryl of late and I've never been good with names. There is that show in Hartford coming up, a one day concours, but nothing quite like this what with the track. Some of the PA & DC guys who were there with modern Maseratis hang out on the "other *****life" forum so you might want to see if they're doing anything down in that area like @ Summit Point or elsewhere. There's also the annual show in Saratoga Springs which is quite a haul but very nice. I tried to hook up with fellow Bora owner Art who lives in northern NY State but he was busy.

We went to Annapolis Yacht Club "Wheels & Keels" show last September. It was a great drive and a fun weekend. The "Old Lady" took "Best Italian Classic" award. We are definately going again this year.

It's been quite nice taking the Bora for leisurely drives around here lately. Hot though.
(...but the wideangle on my iPhone does very strange things to the proportions).

Anyone coming up to Saratoga for the Hemmings Concourse, Sept 26-27?
    Cheers, - Art

Thank you for the reference of the blue.
I was looking for a blue for my Ghibli SS, maybe blue pervinca but this is even nicer color...

Are you 100% sure of that Julius?

The Sera is a touch darker blu than the Ischia and it might be the difference in light on the photographs that is making me doubt the code, but my Indy is painted Blu Ischia 106A51 (Glasurit) and I think it looks like it's an lighter, grayer shade of blue than the Bora on the front picture (the front picture is taken in partly cloudy summer weather, the bonnet/hood in typical neonlight)

Lambotom you can hardly go wrong with any shade of the Maserati blu colors, imho the Blu Sera works fantastically on Ghibli, I guess Ischia would work as well but never seen a Ghibli in real life with the Ischia code.

    Kind regards

After an almost 12 months search worldwide i managed to purchase 2 NOS front fenders for my Bora resto. The miracle was both fenders were purchased in Australia. 1 in Melbourne and the other just 250 kilometers from home. It is just so satisfying seeing progress been made and having a small independent workshop who also get a thrill in bringing the Bora back to life.
