    His late night infomercial featured Vu surrounded by luxury items: mansions, yachts, expensive cars and most visibly, collections of young bikini clad women. He promoted his free 90-minute seminar to learn the same secrets he used to make millions. As a Vietnamese immigrant, he presented himself as the classic "rags to riches" story. His infomercials promoted free seminars that served as advertisements for paid seminars, the most expensive of which was a week-long seminar held only in Orlando, Florida that cost as much as $16,000. Vu's investment theory involved finding "distressed" properties: foreclosures, bankruptcies, divorces, tax liens, and selling them at a profit.[1]

    In the early 1990s, Vu was sued by former students and investigated by the government for alleged violations of securities laws, fraud and false advertising.[2]

    Formerly of Longwood, Florida[1] and later a California resident, Vu has retired from real estate and lives in Las Vegas, Nevada.
    Professional poker career

    Vu continues his parallel career as a tournament poker player. As of 2014, he has won more than $1,800,000 in casino poker tournaments, including a second place finish in a no limit Texas hold 'em event at the 2007 World Series of Poker[3] and a 22nd place finish at the 2005 World Series of Poker championship event.[4] His 9 cashes at the WSOP account for $827,562 of his lifetime tournament winnings.[5]

    In April 2006, he finished ninth in the Season Five World Poker Tour championship event, earning $216,585.

    I don't understand? What's so different here on vday than in the US?
    People are miserable everywhere. I've travelled to a few remote villages and found people to be much happier when they don't have a TV and are brainwashed into deriving happiness from fancy suits and overpriced handbags.

    Walking down Bay Street during business hours always brings a smile to my face.
    $30k millionaires everywhere putting on their best Harvey Specter/Don Draper impersonation.

    A couple of changes I noticed since this thread went up.

    Reza Mokhtarian aka oceannsky has gotten rid of his cars and is in the process of updating his fleet. Coincidentally he has wiped his Instagram description of him being a millionaire and business guru as well. He now only describes himself as an ordinary guy with an extraordinary mind.

    I also notice that his more recent pictures do not show his infamous hejfund license plates. In fact it seems he's going out of his way to not show any plates.

    My guess is our friend is currently being audited or is under some kind of pressure and is trying to make it seem like he's an ordinary guy, while still trying to appease his minions with the idea of him being a millionaire genius.

    There has also been a very obvious change in his tone as of late. I think we shouldn't let this thread die, I truly believe it is making a difference and can very possibly help some innocent people from losing their life savings to this thief.

    He probably couldn't pay the lease payments. That or nobody will let him do his famous "extended" test drives (while he takes pictures and videos of himself as a big baller with these cars.)
